Team/Role Overview

The Custody Asset Servicing Product team focuses on developing products for the Custody business lines. Citi provides settlement, custody and asset servicing solutions to investor & intermediary clients through its Global Custodian and its global network of sub custodians (domestic custodians). The Custody Asset Servicing Product team are seeking a strong Product Manager / Developer in the EMEA region focusing specifically on Investor Clients (contracted with the London and Luxembourg Global Windows) who can work within the global asset servicing team ensuring it meets its goals of supporting the Global Custody EMEA business focusing on the development of Asset Servicing capabilities.

Working closely with business, legal, risk and operational partners' for Custody in identifying and implementing product changers/enhancements in line with business, regulatory and market mandatory requirements. Actively participate in Industry forums to ensure that Citi is kept abreast of market changes and that Citi views are represented.

What You Will Do

1. Work within the Custody Asset Servicing team to ensure it meets its goals as agreed with the EMEA Global Custody business.
2. Agree product development priorities as part of the annual plan with Custody business owners.
3. Understand, communicate and implement global product strategies with primary focus on product extensions.
4. Work closely with global asset servicing BaNCS project team to ensure platform is developed and rolled out in line with business requirements.
5. Help define new product scope.
6. Work closely with operations and technology to create detailed Business Requirements Documentation defining core product functionality based on client demand, market/regulatory requirement or long-term strategic objectives.
7. Ensure products developed and implemented in line with business requirements.
8. Ensure all product developments / extensions are documented in the Product Catalogue and that these are reviewed annually.
9. Work with other internal partners (risk, legal, compliance etc) to ensure all new product developments meet internal business approval requirements.
10. Support relationship and sales teams acting as product expert when discussing new opportunities with clients.
11. Support the implementation of "pilot" clients where required, ensuring documented processes and procedures are in place.
12. Keep abreast of market trends and client needs working closely with clients and coverage organisations.
13. Review and influence/lobby local markets to follow industry standards re transparency and key data elements. Ensure Citi platforms are able to support and complement said enhancements.
14. Participate in relevant industry governing bodies and EMEA Deal review process as applicable representing the EMEA Global Custody business.

What We'll Need From You

• Extensive relevant experience
• Strong securities background with specific focus on asset servicing
• Proven client facing experience beneficial
• Background in operational processes, technology platforms and front office activities
• Ability to analyse different processes and identify inherent risks
• Good inter-personal and communications skills
• Both a strong team player plus self starter
• Creative and resourceful problem solving
• Proven project management and implementation skills
