Job Overview
The Payments Product Manager role is an intermediate level position responsible for managing the Payments business for the GCC markets (ex UAE). The role focuses on the strategic development, commercialization, and management of innovative payment products across key GCC markets. It requires an analytical and proactive individual to drive product development, analyze financial performance, gather market insights, and ensure regulatory compliance, all while collaborating with various teams. The role will be based in Dubai and will report into the MEP Payments Head.
Responsibilities:
- Assess relevant customer, competitor, and industry insights to help define strategies to improve client experience and revenue growth
- Provide insight and recommendations on innovative product development, product targeting, and segmentation strategies as well as oversee aspects of product development life cycle management including market demands, technology trends, and the competitive field
- Work on delivering regulatory projects within tight timelines
- Provide insight and execute on core marketing disciplines such as product development, price, promotions, platform and pillars, launching, and marketing to improve client experience and portfolio growth
- Oversee product financial performance including identifying opportunities and gaps, and developing business strategies
- Work with Operations and Technology on new product development and process improvements
- Participate in financial planning and monitoring for strategic priorities and initiatives
- Appropriately assess risk when business decisions are made, demonstrating particular consideration for the firm's reputation and safeguarding Citigroup, its clients and assets, by driving compliance with applicable laws, rules and regulations, adhering to Policy, applying sound ethical judgment regarding personal behavior, conduct and business practices, and escalating, managing and reporting control issues with transparency.
Qualifications:
- 2-4 years of relevant experience
- Experience within the GCC markets is an added advantage
- Demonstrated experience driving business innovation, leveraging management information, and data analytics to drive results
- Demonstrated knowledge of product development, financial analysis, and product management
- Ability to work unsupervised and adjust priorities quickly as circumstances dictate
- Ability to work under pressure and manage deadlines or unexpected changes in expectations or requirements
- Demonstrated problem-solving and decision-making skills
- Demonstrated analytical and influencing skills
- Consistently demonstrates clear and concise written and verbal communication
Education:
- Bachelor's degree/University degree or equivalent experience
