Aerospace Products Repair/Mod Technician C
PDS Defense, Inc. is seeking a skilled Aerospace Products Repair/Mod Technician C to support aircraft maintenance and modification activities at Seymour Johnson AFB. This role involves hands-on technical work, troubleshooting, system upgrades, and ensuring all components meet flight-worthiness and regulatory standards. The ideal candidate has strong mechanical aptitude, extensive aerospace systems experience, and the ability to work under general direction while maintaining high standards of quality and safety.
Key responsibilities include:
- Assemble, disassemble, repair, and modify aerospace vehicle systems and components.
- Remove, replace, upgrade, or configure components to correct system failures or implement modifications.
- Oversee and perform assembly, disassembly, and overhaul operations.
- Configure aerospace vehicles and related bench test equipment.
- Troubleshoot complex systems-including pneumatic, hydraulic, and electrical-to isolate technical issues.
- Repair or replace failed mechanical or electrical components.
- Perform validation and verification testing on aerospace systems and components.
- Document all work performed to ensure regulatory and contractual compliance (repairs, inspections, test results, modifications, etc.).
- Inspect components and verify repairs to support flight-worthiness requirements.
- Provide oversight and on-the-job training to junior personnel as required.
Required education and experience include:
- High School diploma or GED required.
- Typically 4+ years of relevant aerospace maintenance or repair experience, or an equivalent combination of:
- Vocational school or Associate degree + 2+ years related experience
- Bachelor's degree with related technical experience
- Ability to obtain and maintain a Secret Security Clearance.
- Strong understanding of aircraft systems (mechanical, hydraulic, pneumatic, electrical).
- Ability to read and interpret technical manuals, schematics, and engineering documentation.
