Data Integration Designer / Etl Developer

Location: Toronto, Ontario

Duration: 6 Months+

Description:

Required Skills & Qualifications:

• Overall 10 years of expertise in Informatica PowerCenter (7 years), IDMC (3 years), and IDQ components
• Must have reliability clearance with a minimum of 5 years of experience in Canada
• Strong SQL skills for data manipulation and querying
• Expertise in data warehousing, data lakes, data models, and data governance
• Experience with tools like GitHub DevOps for managing code and deployments
• Familiarity with Agile project management approaches

Preferred Skills & Qualifications:

• Proficiency in Informatica CDI (Cloud Data Integration)
• Experience with MySQL
• Experience working in an Agile environment

Day-to-Day Responsibilities:

• Translate business requirements into detailed technical designs and develop processes within the IDMC platform
• Design and implement data pipelines to move data between different sources and targets, data warehouses, and data lakes
• Optimize and enhance performance of data workflows and mappings
• Conduct unit testing to ensure data integrity, quality, and program functionality
• Assist in identifying and resolving issues with ETL processes in various environments, including QA, SIT, and Production
• Prepare design documentation and other relevant materials to support the development and maintenance of the solution
• Work closely with business analysts, architects, software developers, and business stakeholders
• Implement and adhere to industry best practices for data integration, data quality, security, and performance tuning
• Prepare and deliver presentations and effectively communicate with business stakeholders.
