Receive sketches, descriptions (verbal or written), or conceptual CAD input and design complete mechanical equipment and mechanical features of electronic equipment for end-item projects. Participate in design for proposals, 3-D printing, IRAD, prototypes, or engineering development. Prepare calculations, layouts, details, and assemblies-including 3-D models, 2-D drawings, parts lists, and bills of material-to ensure designs meet ASME drafting, modeling, and drawing requirements and adhere to company standards for simplicity, manufacturability, and cost-effectiveness. Sign off drawings as the party responsible for drafting accuracy and review the work of other drafting personnel. Operate computer-aided design tools as required. Direct work performed on the assignment by other drafting personnel. Perform minor electrical drafting related to mechanical design when needed. Participate in the resolution of problem reports. Write, review, and incorporate change requests at the direction of Engineering and/or management.

Schedule for this Position: 4x10 hour day, 3 days off per week The base range for this position in California, Massachusetts, and New York (excluding most major metropolitan areas), Colorado, Hawaii, Illinois, Maryland, Minnesota, New Jersey, Vermont, Washington or Washington DC is $54,432 - $134,655.
