Product Owner

PeopleTec is currently seeking a Product Owner to support our Huntsville, AL location. We are seeking a software product owner interested in joining an award-winning company and working with cutting-edge missile defense modeling and simulation technologies. The selected candidate will be a member of a dynamic Huntsville-based team working on state-of-the-art system-of-systems HWIL frameworks by conveying the customer vision and priorities to the development team. This is a full-time, on-site position.

Duties Include:

• Defining and communicating the customer and stakeholder vision and goals to the product development team
• Managing and prioritizing the product backlog, mapping dependencies, and informing the development sequence
• Overseeing product development stages including planning, refinement, review, and sprint
• Acting as primary liaison between stakeholders and product development teams
• Evaluating product progress at each iteration

Qualifications Required Skills/Experience:

• Implementation of engineering methods and practices
• VersionOne or Jira
• Systems Engineering for system of systems or engineering IT tools infrastructure
• Proven verbal and written communication to higher, lower, and parallel levels
• Collaboration across organizations
• Lead and interact with diverse teams effectively
• Must be a U.S. Citizen
• An active DoD Secret clearance is required to perform this work. Candidates are required to have an active Secret clearance upon hire, and the ability to maintain this level of clearance during their employment.

Education Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree from accredited college in related discipline with 1+ years professional experience; OR Master's degree with 1 year professional experience; or PhD with no experience

• Agile Product Owner
• Familiar with Missile Defense System baseline products, processes, and content
• Performance requirements development
• Demonstrated project and team leadership
• DOORS proficiency
• Architecture modeling tool proficiency, e.g., System Architect, Rhapsody, Magic Draw
• Agile certifications, e.g., Product Owner, Scrum Master, SAFe
