Serco is looking for a Project Lead/Sr. Instructional Systems Designer (ISD) to join our talented team of learning and content developers. This is an onsite position at the Federal Law Enforcement Training Center (FLETC) in Glynco, GA, with potential occasional travel to other ICE client locations such as Charleston, SC or Dallas, TX. Bring your expertise and collaborative skills to make an impact with our Learning and Performance Solutions (LPS) organization. You will be part of a team of learning and development experts that work closely together and with our government and military partners to help develop and implement training solutions for DoD and Civilian agencies to meet critical missions. In this role you will:

  • Providing direction on projects from inception through completion
  • Providing technical and managerial assistance on all aspects of project management to comply with the technical requirements of the contract for the customer
  • Working with the instructional design team (instructional designers, graphic artists) and project and program managing to perform analysis, design and development for instructional and/or performance support solutions
  • Establishing a team culture that holds contributors responsible for project objectives, empowers independent decision-making and enables professional and technical growth of individual contributors
  • Demonstrating advanced knowledge of law enforcement and leadership training and fostering design innovation in training these areas
  • Consulting with clients to identify new requirements and strategies
  • Working with subject matter experts (SME) to identify and write performance-based training. Assist SMEs with review and editing of course development materials.
  • Reviewing products throughout analysis, design, and development for quality assurance, style guidelines, writing standards, and sensible course/task flow
  • Conducting end-user needs assessment and performance assessment, analyzing results to determine learning needs and performance gaps

To be successful in this role you will have:

  • The ability to pass a contract-specific background investigation
  • Requires US Citizenship
  • A Bachelor's Degree in Instructional Systems Design, Education, Training/Curriculum Development or a related field
  • 7 years of related experience within instructional content creation
  • 5 years of related experience with training accreditation requirements
  • The ability to travel up to 10%
  • Experience with federal law enforcement training and subject matter
  • Experience with developing instructor-led and web-based systems training for the federal Government
  • Demonstrated ability with word-processing and presentation tools (e.g. Microsoft Word and PowerPoint) as well as web-based training and simulation tools
  • Must display organizational skills and the ability to prioritize multiple tasks for themselves and others
  • Must possess excellent writing skills and demonstrate the ability to coordinate and work effectively with subject matter experts
  • Uses project planning tools to its fullest capability
  • Resolves complex problems with creative, innovative, yet practical solutions
  • Performs continual task risk analysis and recommends alternate scenarios to contain risk impact
  • Strong presentation skills, facilitation, interpersonal and client interaction skills
  • Meticulous attention to detail
  • Strong oral and written communication skills
  • Proven experience as a team player
