PDS Defense, Inc. is seeking a System Design & Integration Specialist 3, in Herndon, VA. The AV engineering will design, configure, and operate advanced AV systems for US government customers. Position responsibilities include surveying, planning, developing, designing, configuring, and testing multi-classification AV solutions for government customers. The role involves leading or attending customer stakeholder meetings to collect and document or validate system requirements, researching and recommending technology options, drafting system engineering documentation, supporting onsite installation of AV systems, developing end-user training materials and operations & maintenance plans, performing in-house testing and on-site commissioning at client locations, and developing expertise in the industry through continuing training, certifications, and review of trade publications. This position requires an active TS/SCI U.S. Security Clearance, for which the U.S. Government requires U.S. Citizenship. Basic qualifications include 3+ years of related work experience for level 3, 5+ years of related work experience for level 4, the ability to travel to various job sites as needed, AV systems field installation experience, and an adjudicated Counterintelligence Polygraph. Preferred qualifications include an associate degree or higher, AVIXA CTS certification, DSP platform experience, and experience with Crestron, Extron, and Thinklogical systems. An adjudicated Full Scope Polygraph is also preferred.
Education/experience typically acquired through advanced technical education (e.g. Bachelor) and typically 5 or more years' related work experience or an equivalent combination of technical education and experience (e.g. PhD, Master+3 years' related work experience, 9 years' related work experience, etc.).
