The ideal candidate will have a strong background in user-centered design, accessibility standards (508 compliance), and modern web technologies. Responsibilities

• Design intuitive, user-friendly interfaces for custom web applications.
• Develop new UI components for various DEA applications.
• Ensure all designs meet 508 compliance and accessibility standards.
• Collaborate with developers to create wireframes, storyboards, mockups, and prototypes.
• Enhance web application navigation, graphics, and overall user experience.
• Create and maintain style guides and design standards.
• Gather UI design requirements from end-users and business analysts.
• Communicate technical requirements to development teams.
• Conduct usability testing and interface functionality reviews.
• Actively participate in Agile/Scrum team activities.
• Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

• 3+ years implementing and testing 508 compliance standards.
• 5+ years of expert-level experience in web design standards.
• 5+ years of experience with HTML/CSS design.
• 4+ years working with version control systems such as MS Team Foundation Server (TFS) or Git.
• Active Secret Clearance is required.
• Industry-recognized UI/UX certifications.
