Instructional Designer Copywriter Lead

We are looking for a versatile, experienced Instructional Design lead with copywriter experience who can create adult learning materials using clear and compelling English copy. This role focuses on creating certification course materials, blogs, and whitepapers, collaborating with the client's existing writing teams to ensure the content produced aligns with the organization's goals and standards. Your words will inform and engage the target audiences and drive business outcomes in the technology sector. Our ideal candidate knows how to deliver meaningful outcomes for clients but is also experienced enough to lead, guide, and develop more junior team members. Your team leadership skills are mandatory to manage a team of creative professionals, driving impactful business outcomes in the technology sector.

Instructional Content Development:

• Write clear, compelling copy that informs and instructs across various media formats, including blogs, learning modules, skills assessments, and whitepapers.
• Interpret content briefs to design engaging courseware and narratives, ensuring alignment with client objectives and editorial standards.
• Collaborate actively with client SMEs and teams to distill key takeaways and calls to action (CTAs), influencing desired behaviors.

Leadership and Team Management:

• Lead and mentor a team of instructional designers and copywriters, fostering a collaborative and innovative work culture.
• Conduct regular performance assessments, providing actionable feedback and development plans to enhance team performance and professional growth.
• Manage team resources effectively, prioritizing workloads to meet deadlines and maintain high-quality content delivery.

Collaboration and Client Engagement:

• Partner with client teams, sharing insights and ideas to enhance content strategies and execution.
• Facilitate interviews and workshops with subject matter experts to gather insights for developing compelling educational materials.
• Implement and adapt feedback from client teams and quality control editors to refine content outputs.

Project and Stakeholder Management:

• Oversee content creation projects, ensuring alignment with business objectives and timelines.
• Engage with stakeholders across departments to integrate learning solutions seamlessly into broader organizational objectives.

Required Skills:

• Exceptional writing, editing, and proofreading abilities with strong attention to detail.
• Strong interest in education, adult learning, and technology.
• Excellent time management and organizational skills, capable of managing multiple projects.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office and familiarity with content and learning management systems such as Xyleme and Articulate 360.
• Proven leadership experience, with a focus on people management and team development.
• Bachelor's degree in Journalism, Communications, English, or equivalent experience.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Minimum of 5+ years of experience in copywriting/content creation roles.
• Demonstrated ability to craft messaging that resonates with target audiences in educational contexts.
• Strong research skills and a natural curiosity to learn new topics.
