Senior Project Designer

We are seeking a talented and motivated Senior Project Designer to join our team. The ideal candidate will be passionate about design, possess keen attention to detail and strong technical skills, and have a proven track record of leading interior design projects from concept to completion. In this role, you will collaborate with internal teams, architects, project managers, and clients to develop and implement design solutions for an established brand. Your responsibilities will include analyzing client needs, planning space layouts, designing to a program, creating detailed design documents, and managing projects to ensure compliance with all building codes and safety regulations.

Principle responsibilities include:

  • Leading interior design projects from initial concept through project completion, including analyzing client needs, developing space plans, designing to a program, and managing the project to ensure compliance with all building codes and safety regulations.
  • Supporting on-boarding and training of new Project Designers.
  • Collaborating with clients to understand their needs, vision, and budget for the project.
  • Developing creative and functional design concepts, considering space planning, occupancy planning, and functionality.
  • Managing multiple projects simultaneously to meet deadlines.
  • Collaborating with internal and external teams to ensure project success.
  • Creating compelling presentations to effectively communicate design concepts to clients.
  • Maintaining a high level of quality control throughout the design process.
  • Mentoring junior designers and fostering a collaborative and creative work environment.
  • Maintaining up to date knowledge of current design trends and technologies to push innovation.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree from a CIDA or NAAB accredited institution in Architecture or Interior Design.
  • Five+ years of experience in the design and construction industry.
  • Proven track record of successfully leading and managing interior design projects from concept to completion.
  • Strong portfolio showcasing a diverse range of design projects and a high level of creativity and innovation.
  • Excellent understanding of building codes, construction principles, and interior design best practices.
  • Proficient in Revit.
  • Excellent communication, collaboration, and interpersonal skills.
  • Strong time management and organizational skills with the ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
