The Lead Director, Go-to-Market Enablement, Aetna B2B Marketing Strategy, will partner with Aetna Commercial, Medicaid, and Group Retiree sales and business leaders to lead the B2B Marketing components of GTM strategic planning and execution across the portfolio of products, programs, and key initiatives. In this role, you will collaborate closely with business partners, key stakeholders and B2B Marketing colleagues to lead the B2B Marketing accountabilities, ensuring target market identification, differentiated positioning, distribution strategy alignment and sales readiness, inclusive of competitive positioning, sell-against strategies, narratives and tools, and internal and external launch planning.

As Lead Director, you are influencing the GTM approach across the Aetna businesses through cross-functional alignment and leadership. You must be an innovator and a change agent with a passion for B2B client-centric, needs-based marketing. You will work closely with B2B Marketing Strategy leaders to define clear, compelling differentiation and connection to strategic business objectives across the B2B portfolios.

The Lead Director must lead by example, influence without authority, and cultivate a winning culture of innovation and collaboration. The Lead Director and team partner with business leaders to translate needs and opportunities into winning marketing strategies that showcase Aetna's value proposition and competitive differentiation.

What you will do:

  • Innovative Leadership: Lead a cross-functional, collaborative team through influence, aligning stakeholders across Product, Sales, Marketing, Actuarial, Operations and executive leadership around shared GTM priorities and execution.
  • Integrated GTM Planning and Execution: Lead the development and execution of complete GTM plans that align with Aetna's strategic objectives for B2B Marketing areas of accountability and deliverables.
  • Partner with cross-functional teams to develop a cross-enterprise GTM approach with structured leadership, framework and governance to minimize launch risk, improve GTM efficiency and scalability and generate pipeline across B2B and B2G audiences to enable sales success.
  • Effectively execute internal launch with appropriate impact and attention for sales and account management teams, ensuring product-specific onboarding, readiness, motivation to sell and defend the book with teams
  • Strategic Objectives: Drive strategic initiatives and explore future opportunities that align with Aetna's vision, ensuring the marketing team remains innovative and competitive.
  • Competitor Analysis: Develop comprehensive competitor marketing profiles to inform strategic decision making and identify market trends.
  • Develop differentiated and impactful sales readiness content and tools to promote thoughtful, competitive sell-against strategies and
  • Stay up to date with competitive trends and contribute innovative ideas to enhance marketing efforts.

Required Qualifications:

  • 10+ years of experience in marketing, brand management, consulting or a related field
  • Strong strategic, critical thinking, and conceptual abilities; ability to contribute to strategic planning discussions
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including sharing ideas and information across diverse audiences and creating compelling presentations
  • Marketing Expertise: Solid background in B2B and/or B2C marketing, showcasing a deep understanding of marketing strategies, tactics, and best practices.
  • Industry Experience: Experience in health insurance/healthcare, product, marketing, brand management, agency management, providing well-rounded perspective on strategic marketing initiatives.
  • Attention to detail and ability to juggle multiple priorities at the same time
  • Ability to influence others, work effectively in a matrix environment, and interact with all levels of the organization
  • Ability to meet deadlines and maintain confidentiality. Strong performance accountability orientation, both in terms of following through on commitments and deadlines

Education

  • Bachelor's degree in marketing, communications, journalism or related field or equivalent experience

Pay Range

The typical pay range for this role is:

$100,000.00 - $231,540.00

This pay range represents the base hourly rate or base annual full-time salary for all positions in the job grade within which this position falls. The actual base salary offer will depend on a variety of factors including experience, education, geography and other relevant factors. This position is eligible for a CVS Health bonus, commission or short-term incentive program in addition to the base pay range listed above. This position also includes an award target in the company's equity award program.
