The Manager, Technology Product Management, is skilled and experienced to lead a product development team, often for a component of a product or experience. This role contributes to the product vision and translates it for the product development team. They are responsible for team backlog development and prioritization, maintaining the integrity of features or components, and collaborating closely with Engineering, Design, and other members of the team. They will also identify, revise, and socialize team metrics to achieve the defined objectives and key results (OKRs), aligned with business objectives. This individual shares accountability with the Engineering counterpart for the delivery of outcomes by the team.
The Manager, Technology Product Management will:
- Builds, prioritizes, edits, and maintains the flow and quality of the Team Backlog to provide teams with clear intent and ensures alignment with the vision, strategy and roadmap as user needs and as priorities change.
- Leads refinement sessions, provides applicable feedback on user stories, and ensures quality has been achieved by validating that the story meets the acceptance criteria.
- Supports testing, deployment, release, and post-release activities.
- Works directly with engineering and others to optimize the working team model and ensure alignments across higher-level epics or requirements.
- Uses performance data to identify issues quickly and develop new insights and hypothesis about product health.
- Tracks team metrics that contribute to product objectives and key results (OKRs), aligned with business objectives; socializes progress and consistently reinforces objectives.
- Collaborates closely with engineering, design, architecture, operations and other team members, as a part of the cross-functional team, using product and agile practices.
- Produces the product or experience demo and presents to stakeholders via collaboration with the team.
- Serves as the point of contact for feature delivery and works directly with Domain Owners when necessary to ensure broader alignment with the Epic/initiative.
Required Qualifications:
- 5+ years required experience as Product Owner, Business Analyst, Project Manager, Consulting, IT, or related field. Previous experience in agile product development helpful
- 5+ years required experience in software product management, with demonstrated success in building large-scale consumer-facing products
- Strong critical thinker who makes balanced, insightful decisions is able to make confident decisions about their respective area
- Prioritizes work with an appropriate sense of urgency based on deadlines and overarching team goals
- Fact-based problem solver with the ability to proactively identify and address potential issues, and evaluate alternative courses of action
- Collaborative style, with the ability to establish working relationships across the senior management team, business units, as well as with external advisors and constituents
- Self-starter; comfortable jumping in as needed to support the team
- Creates a safe environment for everyone to bring their whole selves to work every day
- Communicates concepts in a clear and understandable manner to direct leaders and peers, actively participates in team discussions, and seeks opportunities to present information
- Thinks beyond the day-to-day, taking a long-term, big-picture view
Preferred Qualifications:
- Prior working experience with a software development team in an agile environment; healthcare industry experience is a plus
- Ability to drive cross functional teams to alignment in the midst of ambiguity
- Data-driven decision making and quantitative analysis skills
- General understanding of core programming and computer science concepts
Education:
- Bachelor's Degree in Business, Technology, Finance, Engineering, or related field or equivalent work experience

Pay Range: The typical pay range for this role is: $101,970.00 - $203,940.00
This pay range represents the base hourly rate or base annual full-time salary for all positions in the job grade within which this position falls. The actual base salary offer will depend on a variety of factors including experience, education, geography and other relevant factors. This position is eligible for a CVS Health bonus, commission or short-term incentive program in addition to the base pay range listed above.
