Datacom's dedicated Product Solutions Group (PSG) has strategic partnerships across all core IT hardware, software and support services in New Zealand.

PSG brings a depth of New Zealand-based expertise, organisational efficiency, simplicity, and transparency. We have the largest dedicated hardware product team in NZ with over 100 people, highly skilled and certified licensing specialists for pre-sales advice and an extremely experienced software asset management consulting team for post-sales, insights and recommendations.

The Product Operations Support role is responsible for supporting the wider PSG to achieve an agreed revenue target/sales quota as well as delivering a high level of customer satisfaction.

Your responsibilities will include (but not limited to):

  • Working with distributors and vendors including managing the orders post-sale.
  • Meeting delivery expectations/timeframes.
  • Working with accounts department on various administration tasks for our orders.
  • Contributing to monthly reporting for external and internal customers.
  • Attending vendor and distributor training regularly to develop product knowledge and understanding.
  • Supporting Account Managers in the day-to-day transactions of their hardware and software for clients.
  • Ensuring Account Managers are kept up to date with all communications on ETAs, back orders and order status issues.
  • Takes reasonable care that their actions (or inactions) do not harm the health and safety of self or others. Reports all incidents, hazards or unsafe work practices as per Datacom policy.

Required experience:

  • Solid knowledge of procure-to-pay operational workflow
  • Relevant operational experience
  • Ability to deal with clients at all levels.
  • Organisational and administrative skills, with a high attention to detail.
  • Proven communication skills, both verbal and written.
  • Proven customer liaison skills, with the ability to build and maintain lasting customer partnerships.

Highly desirable:

  • Previous hardware and/or software experience
  • Knowledge across vendor programs
