Marketing Coordinator

Dewberry is looking for an experienced Marketing Coordinator to support our Architecture practice in Fairfax, VA. This role is ideal for a confident AEC marketing professional who enjoys leading pursuits, collaborating with multidisciplinary teams, and delivering high-quality proposals that win work.

As a Marketing Coordinator, you'll take ownership of pursuits—from kickoff through delivery—while partnering closely with architects, project managers, and marketing leadership. You'll help shape pursuit strategy, manage teams, and ensure every submittal reflects Dewberry's quality, brand, and values.

You'll be supported by a strong, collaborative marketing team and have opportunities to grow your leadership and strategic marketing skills.

Responsibilities

What You'll Do

  1. Lead and manage proposals and SOQ efforts from start to finish.
  2. Partner with pursuit managers and technical teams on capture planning, go/no-go decisions, and pursuit strategy.
  3. Coordinate pursuit teams across offices, disciplines, and partner firms.
  4. Facilitate kickoff meetings, reviews, and internal coordination.
  5. Manage schedules, deadlines, content development, and proposal logistics.
  6. Write, edit, and refine compelling proposal content, including executive summaries and resumes.
  7. Own the logistics for conferences, events, and industry outreach.
  8. Support shortlist interview preparation, including messaging and presentation materials.
  9. Conduct market research, competitor analysis, and client intelligence gathering.
  10. Maintain pursuit and client data in the CRM system.
  11. Serve as a resource and informal mentor to junior marketing staff.

Required Skills & Required Experience

What We're Looking For

  • Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Communications, Liberal Arts, or related field.
  • 5+ years of AEC marketing experience, with architectural pursuits preferred.
  • Proven experience independently managing and producing proposals.
  • Strong project management and organizational skills.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication abilities.
  • Advanced proficiency in MS Word, PowerPoint, and Adobe InDesign / Creative Suite.
  • Experience with CRM systems (Deltek Vision preferred).
  • Comfort managing multiple pursuits with overlapping deadlines.
  • A collaborative mindset and experience working with multidisciplinary teams.
