This resource will lead the technical design and architecture of a major Jira redesign. Working as part of the client's Partnership / Advisory arrangement, the Design Lead will own the future-state Jira architecture — including a new project hierarchy, workflow schemes, issue type configurations and system integrations.
Lead future-state Jira architecture — new project hierarchy, taxonomy and configuration standards
Design new workflow schemes, issue types and screen configurations aligned to the GTS operating model
Architect integrations between Jira and external systems and tools
Produce a technical redesign blueprint and configuration standards documentation
Own build quality and configuration governance throughout the redesign delivery
Work closely with the GTS Jira Governance & Compliance resource — all changes submitted through the GTS change management process
5+ years of enterprise Jira architecture and administration experience
Proven experience leading large-scale Jira redesigns or migrations
Deep knowledge of Jira project hierarchy, workflow design, permission schemes and field configuration
Experience designing and implementing Jira integrations (REST API, webhooks, Atlassian Marketplace apps)
Strong technical documentation skills — blueprint and standards authoring
Jira Cloud and/or Data Center expertise
Atlassian certification (ACP-100 or equivalent) strongly preferred
