At DoorDash, menus are the foundation of how consumers discover food and how merchants represent their businesses. We're a menu company at heart – customers eat with their eyes, and every order depends on the quality, accuracy, and richness of a merchant's menu. The work you do will shape how restaurants tell their story, how customers decide what to order, and how AI can responsibly unlock creativity and quality at scale. You'll help build foundational systems that grow with DoorDash while making powerful tools feel effortless for the merchants who rely on them.
The Menu Experience team owns the end-to-end systems and tools that power menu creation, management, and evolution across DoorDash's platform. Increasingly, this means going beyond text and pricing into rich media and structured metadata – photos, videos, attributes, and storytelling elements that help merchants stand out and help customers choose with confidence.
As the platform grows, so does the challenge: building intuitive, trustworthy tools for non-technical restaurant owners while leveraging new technologies to make high-quality menu representation accessible to every merchant.
As a Senior Product Designer on the Menu Experience team, you'll own significant parts of the menu management experience end-to-end, from problem framing through shipped impact. You'll work in a highly complex product space, translating merchant needs, business constraints, and platform requirements into simple, scalable, and accessible experiences.
This role is ideal for a designer who's excited about rich content, systems design, and the thoughtful application of GenAI. You'll help define how merchants capture, enhance, and manage photos, videos, and metadata using AI to reduce friction, improve quality, and empower merchants to represent their food and brand authentically.
This is a senior IC role with meaningful autonomy and influence. You'll help shape the team's roadmap, navigate ambiguity independently, and partner closely with Product, Engineering, Research, and cross-functional stakeholders across Merchant and Consumer teams to evolve how menus work across the platform.
