Technical Product Manager - Autonomous Behaviors, Labs

DoorDash Labs is an independent team within DoorDash. We explore robotics and automation to transform last mile logistics in the long term. If you want to work on commercializing autonomy and robotics in a service used by millions of people, then we want to talk to you!

Come help us redefine last-mile logistics through robotics, automation, and other advanced technologies! DoorDash Labs is an independent team inside of DoorDash incubating long-term bets and exploring new technologies that can be applied to transform last-mile logistics. We believe in the value of advanced technologies and strive to build meaningful applications of next-generation hardware and software to impact real-world needs.

Product Managers at DoorDash Labs are both strategic as well as deeply engaged in execution. Product managers own concepts end-to-end, across technologies and teams, as well as from concept, through testing and iteration to commercial launch. We're looking for a motivated, curious and results-oriented product manager to own the definition of autonomous driving behaviors for last-mile delivery robots.

You're excited about this opportunity because you will…

  • Drive the product definition, strategy, and long term vision of DoorDash robotics and autonomous delivery products
  • Own cross-functional work streams spanning a broad group of stakeholders including software and hardware engineering, design, operations, legal, policy, communications, and business development.
  • Define KPIs and communicate product strategy and results to key stakeholders including the leadership team
  • Refine requirements based on the product strategy and business needs
  • Work with a world-class team of engineers and business leaders

We're excited about you because…

  • You have 5+ years of Product Management experience in robotics, autonomy, or similar projects involving autonomous navigation.
  • You have experience both defining behaviors, as well as the systems by which good and poor behavior can be differentiated, quantified, and measured.
  • You have experience in driving product strategy, vision, and roadmap alignment
  • You want to own a product across the full lifecycle from product development, through launch, commercialization, and scaling
  • You're a hands-on owner, willing to drive execution in addition to strategy
  • You are a skilled communicator, and have experience crafting and presenting business reviews to senior executives
