Performance Marketing Manager

The Performance Marketing Manager is a crucial part of our digital marketing team, focusing on driving measurable results through strategic CRM and performance media campaigns. This role specializes in the meticulous planning, execution, and optimization of performance marketing initiatives across various channels, with a strong emphasis on customer acquisition, conversion, and retention. The manager has a deep understanding of performance marketing principles, lifecycle management experience, data analysis, and the ability to drive significant ROI through targeted campaigns.
Job Qualifications:
- 5+ years of digital marketing experience, with a proven track record of managing CRM digital communications & lifecycle marketing and paid digital advertising campaigns (e.g., search, social, display, programmatic) required.
- Experience managing cross-functional internal and external (agency) teams ideal
- Strong understanding of A/B testing methodologies and experience implementing tests to optimize campaign performance and identify best practices.
- Familiarity with marketing attribution models and their impact on campaign evaluation.
- Excellent analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex data, identify trends, and provide actionable insights.
- Strong organizational skills, capable of managing multiple campaigns simultaneously and adhering to deadlines.
- Exceptional communication skills, with the ability to articulate complex marketing strategies and results to cross-functional teams and stakeholders.
- Proactive mindset, with a continuous drive for process improvement and staying ahead of industry trends.
- Experience in the QSR, retail, e-commerce, or direct-to-consumer (DTC) industry is a plus.
- Experience with Loyalty platforms such as Paytronix and customer engagement platforms such as Braze a plus
Location Requirement:
This role is located in Tempe, Arizona. This position is required to be in office 4 days per week (Mon-Thurs); Fridays are optional remote work days.
Key Result Areas (KRAs):
- Develop, execute, and optimize paid digital advertising campaigns across various channels (e.g., search, social, display, programmatic) to drive customer acquisition, conversion, and retention.
- Develop, execute, and optimize lifecycle marketing strategies that drive increase in customer behavior through owned channels (email, mobile push, etc) in conjunction with the loyalty program.
- Develop lifecycle journeys to increase frequency and mitigate churn within the Dutch Rewards loyalty program.
- Conduct A/B testing on campaign elements (e.g., ad copy, visuals, landing pages, targeting) to identify best practices and continuously improve campaign performance.
- Analyze campaign data using analytics tools, identify trends, and provide actionable insights to inform future performance marketing strategies.
- Manage the end-to-end campaign process, including planning, budget management, creative implementation, tracking, and reporting.
- Collaborate cross-functionally with creative teams to ensure campaign assets are aligned with brand guidelines and campaign objectives.
- Monitor and report on key performance indicators (KPIs) and return on investment (ROI) for all performance marketing initiatives, providing regular performance updates and recommendations to stakeholders.
- Stay up-to-date with industry trends, emerging technologies, and best practices in performance marketing to continuously enhance campaign effectiveness.
- Lead weekly channel and campaign level reporting - providing both insight on performance as well as delivering recommendations for future optimization.
- Partner cross-functionally with creative team, ensuring each campaign is presented beautifully and on brand.

- Reading and Writing Proficiency: Ability to read and write in English is essential for processing documents, drafting reports, and following up on necessary actions. Proficiency in written communication is required to handle job-related tasks effectively.
- Vision Requirements: Vision must be adequate or correctable to perform essential job duties, such as reading documents on a computer screen and using other visual tools. Use of corrective lenses or other measures to meet visual requirements is expected if needed.
- Technology Proficiency: Must be proficient in operating a computer and other office productivity tools such as printers, scanners, and collaboration software.
- Effective Communication: Must possess strong verbal and written communication skills to interact effectively with team members, clients, and other stakeholders via email, video conferencing, and other in office communication tools.
