Product Owner With Data Expertise

Our client seeks a product owner with data expertise to streamline and modernize product data pipelines supporting alternative investments sales compensation and reporting. The role requires leadership across stakeholders in sales, analytics, engineering, architecture, and governance. The successful candidate will drive data enablement capabilities, ensure reporting accuracy, and deliver outcomes in an Agile framework within the financial services domain.

Due to client requirements, applicants must be willing and able to work on a W2 basis. For our W2 consultants, we offer a great benefits package that includes medical, dental, and vision benefits, 401k with company matching, and life insurance.

Rate: $70.00 to $80.00/hr. W2

Responsibilities

Lead the product vision and strategy for data enablement supporting alternative investments sales to institutional and intermediary clients.

Collaborate with stakeholders in product sales, analytics, engineering, architecture, and governance to gather requirements and prioritize features.

Develop and oversee data solutions that streamline sales processes and improve reporting accuracy with iterative improvements.

Translate strategic objectives and user needs into prioritized data enablement capabilities that maximize delivered value.

Influence and align cross-functional teams without direct authority to drive execution.

Apply Agile practices to plan, deliver, and refine product increments, leveraging tools such as Jira and Jira Align.

Experience Requirements

Product ownership experience leading data modernization initiatives.

5 to 10 years in product management, data platform modernization, or enterprise technology transformation.

Strong business acumen with ability to engage C-suite leaders, architects, engineers, and data consumers.

Proficiency in SQL for data analysis, validation, and querying.

Experience with data modeling and data enablement solution delivery.

Financial services background with asset management domain expertise.

Communication and presentation skills with stakeholder management and influence without authority.

Experience delivering outcomes in an Agile framework; Jira and Jira Align experience (preferred).

Python (preferred).

Snowflake (preferred).

AWS (preferred).

Investment banking experience (preferred).

Alternative investments knowledge, including alts domain familiarity (preferred).

Broker-dealer and RIA client knowledge (preferred).

Intermediary business or institutional sales distribution experience (preferred).

Intellectual curiosity with commitment to continuous learning, mentoring, and challenging the status quo (preferred).

Education Requirements

Bachelor's degree required.

MBA (preferred).
