Rate: $30.00 to $40.00/hr. w2
Plan, execute, and synthesize qualitative and quantitative UX research including interviews, surveys, usability testing, heuristic evaluations, and A/B testing.
Develop research plans and methodologies aligned with business goals, user needs, and accessibility requirements.
Analyze findings and translate insights into actionable recommendations that inform product and design decisions.
Use analytics tools such as Google Analytics to evaluate behavior and identify usability issues.
Advocate for user-centered design practices and ensure research insights are applied by stakeholders.
Create wireframes, user flows, mockups, and interactive prototypes in tools such as Figma, Sketch, or Adobe XD.
Design accessible, usable, and visually consistent interfaces for web and application products.
Ensure responsive designs optimized for multiple devices and platforms.
Incorporate interaction design elements including transitions, animations, and feedback mechanisms.
Design and evaluate interfaces to comply with WCAG standards and usability best practices.
Conduct accessibility and usability testing and recommend remediation strategies.
Collaborate with development teams to implement accessibility requirements correctly.
Work with product managers, developers, and stakeholders in an agile or iterative environment.
Communicate findings, design rationale, and recommendations through presentations and reviews.
Share progress regularly and raise risks, gaps, or dependencies proactively.
U.S. Citizenship with ability to obtain and maintain a Public Trust clearance.
Minimum 4 years of experience in UX research, wireframing, prototyping, and visual design.
Minimum 4 years of experience using Figma, Sketch, or Adobe XD.
Minimum 4 years of experience applying usability principles, design systems, and WCAG accessibility standards.
Minimum 4 years of experience conducting interviews, surveys, usability testing, A/B testing, and heuristic evaluations.
At least 1 year of experience using Google Analytics or similar analytics tools to inform decisions.
Proficiency creating low- to high-fidelity designs and interactive prototypes.
Understanding of typography, color, layout, and visual hierarchy and their impact on UX.
Ability to design intuitive interactions and responsive experiences across devices.
Expertise in information architecture and navigation design.
Proficiency with Figma, Sketch, and Adobe Creative Suite; working knowledge of HTML/CSS preferred.
Experience planning, executing, and iterating designs based on usability testing and feedback.
Demonstrated problem solving, critical thinking, and attention to detail.
Strong written and verbal communication and effective collaboration in team environments.
Ability to articulate UX research methods, findings, and impact during reviews and interviews.
Willingness to stay current with evolving UX research methods, accessibility standards, and design best practices.
Bachelor's degree or equivalent relevant work experience.
