Role Overview

The Housekeeping Manager is responsible for ensuring exceptional standards of cleanliness, presentation, and hygiene across all guest rooms, public areas, and laundry operations. The role leads daily housekeeping operations, optimizes workforce planning, supports training and performance management, and ensures full compliance with brand standards, ISO procedures, and hotel policies. The position works in close coordination with Front Office and Maintenance teams and contributes to departmental budgeting, reporting, and continuous improvement initiatives.

Key Accountabilities

Operational Excellence

路 Ensure consistently high standards of cleanliness, order, and presentation across guest rooms, public areas, back-of-house, and storage areas.

路 Conduct daily inspections of rooms and public spaces, identifying and addressing deficiencies promptly.

路 Oversee and manage the internal laundry operation, ensuring efficiency, quality control, and compliance with hygiene standards.

People Management & Development

路 Prepare and manage staff schedules to ensure optimal coverage and productivity.

路 Actively participate in the onboarding, training, coaching, and performance monitoring of all Housekeeping team members.

路 Foster a culture of accountability, teamwork, and continuous improvement within the department.

Standards & Compliance

路 Ensure strict adherence to brand standards, ISO procedures, health & safety regulations, and hotel policies at all times.

路 Support audits and quality control processes, implementing corrective actions where required to enhance guest satisfaction.

Cross - Departmental Collaboration

路 Work closely with the Front Office team to manage room priorities, arrivals/departures, guest requests, and preferences.

路 Collaborate with the Maintenance team to ensure the optimal condition and preventive maintenance of rooms and public areas.

路 Participate actively in departmental and management meetings, contributing operational insights and improvement proposals.

Financial & Administrative Management

路 Manage the departmental budget in an efficient and cost-conscious manner, identifying opportunities for cost control and optimization.

路 Prepare and submit all relevant periodic reports, including monthly inventories, consumption analysis, and performance metrics.

路 Proactively propose initiatives aimed at improving operational efficiency, quality standards, and resource utilization.
