More than 1 billion people globally live with obesity — a major leading indicator of many preventable chronic diseases such as diabetes and heart disease.

Eucalyptus is the company behind "Juniper", one of the world's largest weight management programs combining GLP-1 medication with a tailored nutrition and exercise programme, supported by our multidisciplinary care team of prescribers, health coaches, dietitians, nurses and pharmacists.

Our published clinical research demonstrates that our combined approach to weight management and lifestyle change means that our patients are 4x as likely to lose significant weight through their course of treatment with Juniper.

Since launching, we've grown fast to support millions of patients. We launched in Japan in 2024 and quickly shifted some focus to support our fast-growing UK business. Since then, Japan has shown strong momentum, growing over 150% and expanding our marketing investment tenfold. Our goal is to reach 50,000 patients by the end of 2026, building on the success of our UK team, which grew from 5,000 to 40,000 patients in just ten months.

Globally, Eucalyptus now generates over A$500M in annual revenue and continues to double in size each year while staying financially sustainable. We've also made sure our people share in that success — around 20% of employees have already benefited from our employee share program.

About The Role (What You'll Be Doing)

In light of our rapid growth as a company, we are looking for an exceptional growth marketer to join our team in Tokyo, Japan. You'll play a pivotal role in scaling one of Eucalyptus' successful brands in a dynamic, high-growth market. This is a rare opportunity to take ownership of full-funnel marketing – spanning performance, creative, e-commerce, and brand – and shape the future of digital healthcare in Japan.

We're looking for a Swiss Army knife marketing operator - someone with broad, hands-on experience across all facets of marketing and business building in the Japan market. You bring strong commercial acumen, deep marketing expertise, and a relentless bias for action. You're both analytical and creative, thrive in ambiguous environments, and love solving tough, meaningful problems. Above all, you're driven by the opportunity to build something impactful that genuinely improves people's lives in Japan.

This role reports directly to Justin Teo, Head of International Expansion & General Manager - Japan (based in Tokyo, JP) and will work closely with:

  • Jordan McTeare, Global Head of Performance
  • Function Leaders across the Japan team - Growth, Product, Operations, and Business Operations

While your initial focus will be on Japan, the role has potential to expand into regional responsibilities as the business grows.

Capabilities you'll be responsible for:

  • Lead and Inspire : Manage and develop a high-performing team of growth marketers and creatives, fostering a culture of experimentation, innovation, and accountability.
  • Strategic Growth Planning : Design and execute an integrated growth strategy spanning performance marketing, creative production, e-commerce, and brand media.
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration : Work closely with Product and Operations teams to deliver seamless, high-quality patient experiences.
  • Market & Customer Insight : Leverage data and local insights to identify new opportunities, optimize campaigns, and drive sustainable growth.
  • Marketing Efficiency : Own the marketing budget and channel mix, ensuring high ROI and strong unit economics across all paid and owned media.
  • Global Alignment : Partner with teams across Australia and Europe, including C-level stakeholders, to scale best practices and align local execution with global objectives.
  • Performance Tracking : Set and own OKRs in collaboration with the General Manager, measuring what matters and driving accountability across the team.

About You (Who We're Looking For)

Skills & Experience

  • Local Market Understanding : Deep knowledge of Japanese consumer behavior; familiarity with Japan's digital healthcare landscape is a plus.
  • Bilingual Proficiency : Professional fluency in both Japanese and English, with excellent communication skills across both languages.
  • Deep Marketing Experience : 7+ years in growth marketing, digital marketing, or e-commerce - ideally in B2C or healthcare in Japan.
  • Team & Budget Leadership : Demonstrated experience managing teams and marketing budgets, with a strong handle on P&L drivers.
  • Analytical Strength : Skilled in using data to diagnose performance, develop insights, and shape strategy.
  • Creative Acumen : Confident in reviewing creative work across copy, video, and visual assets – and understanding what drives engagement.
  • Operational Excellence : Comfortable leading multiple initiatives in a fast-paced, ever-changing environment.
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration : Strong communicator who can influence across disciplines and build trust with diverse stakeholders.
