Product Owner

We are looking for an enthusiastic Product Owner to work within our Affordability & Originations Business. This is a hybrid role aligned to SJP, in Nottingham, reporting into our Head of Product.

The Domain:

As a member of the team, you will be part of an Engineering team working on the development of Credit Risk products that combine technology and business outcomes, allowing people to share their current account transactional data and blend it with credit information insights to receive a clear picture of their financial circumstances and commitments.

Responsibilities:

  • Own and manage the product backlog, including prioritisation, refinement, and defining Epics and User Stories with high-quality acceptance criteria.
  • Lead requirements-driven workshops with internal teams and clients, translating business needs into clear technical specifications, user stories, and process/documentation artefacts.
  • Collaborate closely with Product Managers, Architecture, Development, QA, and Client Delivery Managers to ensure accurate solution design and high-quality delivery.
  • Drive Agile ways of working, actively participating in sprint ceremonies and promoting continuous improvement across teams and processes.
  • Exhibit strong industry and domain knowledge to support informed decision-making and effective problem-solving.
  • Manage the delivery of multiple products while balancing other priorities and stakeholder expectations.

Qualifications:

  • Experience working as a Product Owner
  • Working knowledge of JIRA, Confluence and Aha
  • Stakeholder Management and collaboration experience
  • Excellent Epic and story writing experience and documentation skills
  • Strong understanding of regulatory and compliance frameworks relevant to credit and personal data.
