FASTSIGNS of Burien-West Seattle is hiring a Design & Production Assistant to help bring our clients' ideas to life. This is a hands-on role combining graphic design, digital printing, and physical sign production. In our shop no two days are the same. You'll work in a collaborative, energetic environment and play a key role in taking projects from concept to completion.

We're happy to train the right person. Prior sign production experience is not required—but Adobe Illustrator experience is essential.

The Perks

• Pay: $21 – $23/hr (Starting pay, based on experience).
• Bonus Power: Significant performance-based bonus opportunities.
• Work-Life Balance: Monday – Friday, 8:30 AM – 5:30 PM. No nights, no weekends.
• Growth: We will train the right person. If you have the Illustrator basics, we'll teach you the craft of sign-making.
• Time Off: 40 hours paid vacation at your 6-month mark + 9 paid holidays.

The Role: From Concept to Completion

• Create: Use Adobe Illustrator to turn customer concepts into production-ready graphics.
• Produce: Operate state-of-the-art digital printers, plotters, and laminators.
• Build: Prepare substrates, apply vinyl, and mount digital prints with precision.
• Solve: Visit sites to take measurements and help determine the best materials for the job.
• Collaborate: Work directly with the team and customers to ensure every project is flawless before it hits the streets.

What You Bring to the Table

• Illustrator Skills: You know your way around Adobe Illustrator (portfolio required if you haven't worked professionally in design yet).
• A "Maker" Mindset: You enjoy physical work, using power tools, and standing/moving throughout the day.
• Physical Stamina: Ability to lift 75+ lbs and handle the physical demands of large-format production.
• Accuracy: You have a "measure twice, cut once" mentality and a keen eye for detail.
• Hustle: You thrive in a fast-paced environment and can keep your cool under a deadline.
