Product Manager
The Product Manager reports to the Senior Product Manager and will work closely with the product team and cross-functional members to help define and launch innovative new consumer products, develop strong GTM strategies and work collaboratively with domestic and global team members to bring forth new products in a highly competitive market.
This position requires deep understanding of consumer needs and behavior which will help to shape products that not only solve problems but also create exceptional user experiences.
The role requires responsibility for overseeing and executing account level pricing, handle marketing communications to sales staff and retailers, manage instant rebate promotional calendars, identify sales and customer needs, and assess account programs to determine viability.
The Product Manager will also provide input on product strategies and product plans, conducts competitive analysis and internal surveys to assess new product needs and design feedback, and drive holiday programs all vital in helping to maximize sales performance.
Job Description
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead product launches by coordinating cross-functional efforts, defining go-to-market strategies, and ensuring effective communication.
- Manage product lifecycle from ideation to sunset, optimizing the portfolio for long-term growth and profitability.
- Collaborate and lead discussions with supply chain management (SCM) teams to align product availability, inventory, and delivery schedules.
- Own the product promotional roadmap for consumer-facing promotions, ensuring alignment with broader department and company goals.
- Review and maintain products and provide input with product design, product features, including app connectivity and US legal compliance for packaging and marketing materials
- Conduct consumer research, including surveys, focus groups, and market analysis to identify customer needs, pain points, and preferences.
- Coordinate with legal teams to ensure all product-related activities, documentation and packaging comply with relevant laws and regulations.
- Ensure product compliance with industry standards, company policies, and regulatory requirements.
- Handle administrative tasks related to product setup, documentation, and cross-functional coordination.
- Manage product input into SAP and maintain pricing and price adjustments, as necessary
- Oversee and manage the accessory category end-to-end, developing domestic products for retailer specific needs and collaborations.
- Participate in product and planning meetings.
- Stay current with industry trends, competitor offerings, and emerging technologies to keep our consumer products competitive and relevant.
Additional Responsibilities
- Works with Senior Product Manager to develop and execute annual product plan
- Execute promotional programs and projects, meeting key deadlines and pricing guardrails.
- Drive and execute product life cycle for the Instax products; inclusive of sku reductions and slow moving and obsolete products
- Handles product set-up, bulletin communications, packaging artwork, sample requests, product copy, product brochure/catalog, user guide reviews and pricing
- Maintain MAP (Minimum Advertised Pricing) program and is the point person for input of pricing into dynamic pricing system
- Ensures optimized product marketing communication for the US consumer for all product marketing materials
- Constant daily communication with various cross-functional teams inclusive of sales, internal US, international staff and Fujifilm global headquarter in Tokyo
- Works collaboratively with sales and Supply Chain Management to ensure smooth product flow.
- Lead internal calls
- Provides direction and guidance to SCM team on inventory, forecasts, product skus and account delivery timing
- Provides support and collaboration in the development of product merchandising opportunities across retail channels in the US.
- Supports and manages domestic product launch plans and deliverables
- Supports the team in evaluating new product features, naming and product viability
- Understand the customer, the retail environment and relationship with all touchpoints within the brand.
- Make recommendations to the team on product assortment, pricing and merchandising.
- Supports the team in analyzing competitive space and understand market needs
- Prepare product presentations for sales staff, account line reviews and present to management and accounts when required.
Required Skills/Education
- Undergraduate degree and/or equivalent work experience; 5-7+ years relevant work experience in product marketing and product management capacity.
- Understanding of product lifecycle management
- Knowledge and collaboration with SCM teams
- Ability to work with international teams effortlessly.
- Ability to develop and execute against all product initiatives
