Job Description

Reporting to the CEO and leading a small but mighty team, you will drive our revenue strategy and optimize the full marketing funnel to achieve our customer acquisition and lifetime value goals. You will be responsible for:

  • Managing media, Field Marketing, and conversion efforts targeting families across ~75-100 parent-pay camp locations, through an annual launch and promotion plan
  • Driving acquisition through full-funnel strategies, including traditional performance marketing, zero-click content, social engagement, audience-building, and owned channels
  • Building brand distinctiveness and salience in our target markets through content, engagement, and community presence
  • Deploying customer and market intelligence to inform new-site acquisition, growth planning, and local tactics
  • Owning website content and performance (lead gen and enrollment) across B2C (parent-pay) and B2B (district-sponsored) business lines
  • Managing all critical customer communications including engagement, program logistics, and renewal
  • Supporting the growth of Galileo X, our emerging B2B (school and district) business line, offering full-service summer enrichment and curriculum licensing

Success in this role will require a deep understanding of integrated marketing strategy, funnel optimization, and brand-building. You must be data-driven, customer-oriented, entrepreneurial, and skilled at balancing national, regional, and hyper-local approaches. You'll thrive if you combine creativity with analytical rigor, can operate at both strategic and executional levels, and are energized by cross-functional collaboration.

Compensation: We anticipate compensation for this Full-Time, exempt position to be $175,000-$200,000 base with additional variable compensation target up to 25%. Exact compensation may vary and will be based on multiple factors, including geography and professional experience.

Work location: Remote, work-from-home, location is possible in the following states: California, Colorado, Illinois, Massachusetts, Texas, North Carolina, New York, or Washington. We are currently only able to employ candidates who are based in the states listed here.

Employees located in the San Francisco Bay area adhere to a hybrid office and work-from-home policy. Galileo Headquarters is located at 111 Myrtle St, Ste 300, Oakland, CA 94607.

Schedule & Time Commitment: This is a full-time position, averaging 40 hours per week. While we prioritize work-life balance, there may be times when additional hours are necessary to meet deadlines and ensure the success of our programs. Additionally, HQ staff are expected to visit camp locations from June through August to experience camp first-hand and support our teams on the ground; 10-15% travel may be required for those located outside of a camp territory.

Qualifications

  • 10+ years of progressive leadership in B2C marketing roles
  • At least 3 years at the Senior Director level or higher, with experience managing both teams and external agencies
  • Proven track record of leading full-funnel marketing in a dynamic, high-growth environment
  • Expertise in acquisition, conversion optimization, and customer journey management
  • Strong analytical background with experience building and using KPIs to drive decision-making
  • Demonstrated success in brand-building, content strategy, and community engagement
  • Familiarity and experience with multi-site and highly seasonal marketing tactics a plus
  • Experience marketing education, travel, or other family and kid-related services a plus
