Core GTM Product Specialist Manager

Google Play is at the heart of the Android ecosystem, providing the apps, games, and digital content that bring Android devices to life. The Play Store is a critical driver of Google's overall growth. Googlers working on the Play Go-To-Market (GTM) teams own content strategy and publishing within the Play Store across all regions and verticals (e.g., apps, games, and more).

As a Product Specialist Manager, you act as a strategic partner to Play Product Marketing, Product and Engineering teams. You lead a team of Product Specialists to determine the requirements and roadmaps for launching and optimizing emerging programs, features, and products. You and your team lead the operationalization efforts, connecting the 'what' with the 'how' to deliver complex experiments and come up with solutions and processes that enable scale. You are accountable for both the impact your team delivers and the health and development of the team members reporting to you.

Responsibilities:

  • Define business opportunities and develop long-term solution goal and strategy in collaboration with cross-functional leadership, influencing the direction of business outcomes and technical product features.
  • Build and maintain strategic relationships with executive internal and external stakeholders (Director level and above) to manage quality solutions and services, serving as an escalation point for issues.
  • Own project roadmaps and oversee the integration of cross-functional timelines, developing workflows, process improvements and automation to scale solution delivery across the organization.
  • Lead, develop, and support a high-performing team by setting clear expectations, providing regular coaching, and fostering a mission-first team environment that values innovation and excellence.
  • Drive AI transformation across the team by using AI strategically to increase productivity and coaching the team to seek out opportunities for human-AI collaboration in their work.
  • Google is proud to be an equal opportunity and affirmative action employer. We are committed to building a workforce that is representative of the users we serve, creating a culture of belonging, and providing an equal employment opportunity regardless of race, creed, color, religion, gender, sexual orientation, gender identity/expression, national origin, disability, age, genetic information, veteran status, marital status, pregnancy or related condition (including breastfeeding), expecting or parents-to-be, criminal histories consistent with legal requirements, or any other basis protected by law.
