Extended Reality Product Manager, Input And Interactions

In this role, you will work cross-functional to guide products from conception to launch by connecting the technical and business worlds. You can break down complex problems into steps that drive product development. One of the many reasons Google consistently brings innovative, world-changing products to market is because of the collaborative work we do in Product Management. Our team works closely with creative engineers, designers, marketers, etc. to help design and develop technologies that improve access to the world's information. We're responsible for guiding products throughout the execution cycle, focusing specifically on analyzing, positioning, packaging, promoting, and tailoring our solutions to our users.

For decades, the computing revolution has reshaped our world driven by breakthroughs in compute, connectivity, mobile, and now, AI. Google's XR team is at the forefront of the next major leap – the convergence of AI and XR. This is more than just new devices – it's about reimagining how we interact with the world around us. We're building a future where lightweight XR devices pair with helpful AI to augment human intelligence, offering personalized, conversational, and contextually aware experiences.

Responsibilities:

  • Define and advance the product strategy and multi-year road-map for input and interaction systems on multiple extended reality devices with multiple modalities, including natural inputs and peripherals.
  • Collaborate with platform, System UI, and app teams to define extended reality input and interaction systems.
  • Drive an AI-forward input and interaction system that takes advantage of conversational, voice-based input.
  • Develop a strategy that can adapt to multiple types of extended reality devices running Android extended reality.
  • Cultivate ongoing relationships and collaborate with internal and external cross-functional teams (e.g., software, research UX/UXR, technical program managers) to drive timely execution and delivery.
