Group Product Manager, Search Ai Platform

At Google, we put our users first. The world is always changing, so we need Product Managers who are continuously adapting and excited to work on products that affect millions of people every day. In this role, you will work cross-functionally to guide products from conception to launch by connecting the technical and business worlds. You can break down complex problems into steps that drive product development. One of the many reasons Google consistently brings innovative, world-changing products to market is because of the collaborative work we do in Product Management. Our team works closely with creative engineers, designers, marketers, etc. to help design and develop technologies that improve access to the world's information.

The Product Management team for Google Search's AI developer platform is responsible for providing Search's community of developers and product managers with the tools, SDKs, and platform capabilities to build AI search experiences on our Gemini models, from prototype to production. We are a key partner to product teams innovating products like AI Mode on tight timelines. We develop the requirements, design the workflows, and then build the tooling for AI-first methods of product and feature development.

In Google Search, we're reimagining what it means to search for information – any way and anywhere. To do that, we need to solve complex engineering challenges and expand our infrastructure, while maintaining a universally accessible and useful experience that people around the world rely on. In joining the Search team, you'll have an opportunity to make an impact on billions of people globally.

The US base salary range for this full-time position is $227,000-$320,000 + bonus + equity + benefits. Our salary ranges are determined by role, level, and location. Responsibilities:

  • Gather, understand, and synthesize developer pain points for your platform products and their corresponding critical user journeys.
  • Drive clarity within your engineering teams about outcomes, requirements, scope, and timelines, so that there is no ambiguity about the goal and how to get there.
  • Drive ultra-crisp execution with tech lead partners, favoring incremental improvements that deliver value to customers and align with strategic goals.
  • Communicate effectively to partner teams and stakeholders, about progress made in support of their goals, issues, and risks.
  • Collaborate cross-functionally (product management, engineering, program management) and cross-organizationally (infrastructure and platform functions such as ML serving, modeling, logging, UI, etc.) to deliver excellent results.
