The US base salary range for this full-time position is $178,000-$265,000 + bonus + equity + benefits. Our salary ranges are determined by role, level, and location. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training. Minimum Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Design, Human-Computer Interaction, Computer Science, a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
• 8 years of experience in product design or UX.
• Experience in motion design related to physics, patterns, and visual design elements.
• Experience working with Designers, Researchers, Engineers, Content Strategists, and Product Managers throughout the design process.
• Include a portfolio, website, or any other relevant link to your work in your resume (providing a viewable link or access instructions).

Preferred Qualifications:

• Master's degree in Design, Human-Computer Interaction, Computer Science, a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
• 12 years of experience in product design or UX.
• 4 years of experience leading design projects.
• 3 years of experience working with executive leaders.

Responsibilities:

• Act as a constant source of motion design inspiration to the YouTube UX organization.
• Partner and consult with feature teams to craft new ideas that deliver on the philosophies and capabilities of the motion language.
• Build partnerships with engineering to push the boundaries of how motion can be implemented efficiently and at scale across multiple products.
• Own and maintain design, management, and maintenance of motion libraries.
• Own and maintain documentation in specs and playbooks.
