Principal Product Manager
GovCIO's Digital Services team is growing and we're seeking a Principal Product Manager to drive product definition in support of rapid design, development, delivery, and enhancement in fulfillment of a variety of high-impact, critical customer needs to improve service delivery for our Veterans. The position is remote within the continental United Stated with limited travel (less than 10%) for critical customer meetings and/or quarterly product increment definition and update.
Responsibilities
The ideal candidate will bring experience leading SaaS and digital platform products, engaging in all phases of product discovery, definition, development, delivery, support and maintenance. Will support product cost evaluation and tradeoffs, scheduling, and feature performance / ROI. Acts as primary customer interface and customer's "right hand" for program products, directing product discovery for one or more critical products. Develops new products or expands the product line working closely with customers and technical delivery team members. Establishes milestones and monitors adherence to master plans and schedules, identifies product problems and drives evaluation of potential solutions. Guides product line team members assigned to the product to ensure alignment with customer and solution objectives.
- Acts as primary product management interface for assigned product lines and products, driving product strategy for the Veteran application experience.
- Works in close partnership, collaboration, and open communication with the government product owner to help inform decisions and surface priorities.
- Establishes, maintains, and nurtures strong working relationships with key customer stakeholders and solution delivery team members.
- Manages one or more products of large size and complexity; provides guidance and insight to professional and technical personnel performing in their customary disciplines.
Qualifications
Required Skills and Experience
- Bachelor's with 15+ years (or commensurate experience) or Master's with 12+ years
- Demonstrated ability to define and guide product vision, strategy, and roadmaps.
- Stakeholder management and cross-functional workstream leadership
- Ability to shape and prioritize workstreams as informed by organizational priorities, resource constraints, and delivery risks
- KPI development and analysis; backlog management
- Ability to capture product requirements and to translate them into epics and user stories
- Experience leveraging HTML/CSS
- Experience leveraging AI productivity tools
- Experience with Agile/Scrum/DevSecOps/SAFe
Clearance Required: Ability to obtain and maintain a Suitability/Public Trust clearance.
Preferred Skills and Experience:
- Deep familiarity and experience delivering products for Federal customers, especially the VA
- Experience delivering large scale customer facing applications delivering critical services
- Experience driving product development leveraging Agile Scrum
- Familiar with tools such as Jira, Confluence, Slack, and MS Teams
- Experience with Mural or similar product/requirement capture and visualization tools
- Experience with GitHub Project Management Tools
Posted Salary Range
USD $145,000.00 - USD $180,000.00 /Yr.
