A Non-Merit vacancy exists in the Department of Economic and Workforce Development for the position of Chief of Destination Marketing and Communications.
Job Purpose
Reporting to the Deputy Director, the Chief of Destination Marketing and Communications is responsible for promoting tourism development and leading destination initiatives and campaigns for the Department of Economic and Workforce Development, in accordance with the strategic plans for the County and the Department. The role requires marketing, public relations, and management skills.

Qualifications
Graduation from an accredited college or university with a bachelor's degree or higher in a related field. Plus at least five years of experience in the tourism or hospitality industry preferred. Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

Possession of a valid driver's license equivalent to a noncommercial, class C Maryland driver's license is required at the time of appointment.
