Under general supervision, the Part-time Graphic Designer is responsible for creating visually engaging artwork, graphics, and layouts for various digital and print media. This role involves collaborating with team members to conceptualize and execute designs that align with brand guidelines and project objectives. This position would also assist in the development and execution of social media content and strategy. This position will serve as a liaison for the graphic design needs of the library as well as other City departments as needed. Reports to the Director of Media and Community Relations.
This is a part time position with anticipated hours of 15 – 20 per week with a flexible schedule. Telework is available after completion of the six month probationary period.

Required Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree with 3 to 5 years of experience in graphic design or related field ; or any equivalent combination of training and experience which provides the required skills, knowledge and abilities. Demonstrated creativity, innovative thinking, and working independently with the ability to manage large projects. Must be proficient in Adobe Photoshop, InDesign, Illustrator and Microsoft Office. Web design and online marketing experience is preferred. Requires a valid driver's license.
