Snohomish County is seeking two Instructional Designers to support the county's implementation of new Oracle finance and HR systems under an Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) initiative. These roles will work with subject-matter experts (SMEs) to design, develop, and deliver instructional content to advanced users and end users, with formats including but not limited to live training, screencast videos, and job aids. Those selected to interview will be asked to provide samples of instructional design work.
The starting salary for external candidates (new to Snohomish County) is $86,531.76 annually. There are two project-limited positions available:
These positions will support the County's multi-year ERP implementation project, which is expected to extend beyond 2027. The Central Human Resources (CHR) Department intends to request additional funding to extend both positions through at least December 31, 2027. However, continuation beyond the currently funded dates is contingent upon budget approval and is not guaranteed. At the conclusion of the ERP project, the CHR Department may seek approval to convert one or both positions to regular status, subject to budget approval.
The positions will remain open until filled, and first consideration will be given to applications received by March 1, 2026. Job offers are contingent on successful completion of employment verification and background checks. Snohomish County will not sponsor or take over sponsorship of an employment visa for this opportunity. In compliance with federal law, all persons hired will be required to verify identity and eligibility to work in the United States. For any questions, reach out to SHR-Talent@snoco.org.
