The City of Stockton Community Services Department (CSD) is seeking a Marketing and Social Media Analyst II to support and elevate the Department's digital presence, public engagement, and brand identity. This position plays a key role in shaping how the community experiences and connects with City programs, services, and events. The incumbent will also have a role in elevating the Community Services Department's visibility, strengthening its brand, and connecting the community to programs, services, and hidden gems that enhance the quality of life for the City of Stockton.
The ideal candidate will be responsible for brand development and stewardship, storytelling that reflects community impact, creating and managing content across social media, websites, and other digital platforms to keep the public informed about City programs, services, and events. In addition to marketing CSD as a key element in public safety, the role works closely with staff across divisions to gather information, develop clear messaging, and ensure communications are accurate, consistent, and aligned with the City's goals.
The ideal candidate has strong writing and organizational skills, data driven decision making, understands analytics, experience in rebranding efforts, ability to translate CSD's mission, values and community impact into a cohesive brand voice and visual presence. The incumbent should understands the importance of two-way engagement not simply posting but responding, listening, building trust with local networks, managing multiple projects at once, and is comfortable in reaching out to diverse and underserved communities.
