The Outreach Coordinator for the Center for Health & Counseling (CHC) and Campus Recreation plays a vital role in increasing campus-wide awareness of health, wellness, and recreation services. This position leads to the creation and dissemination of marketing and promotional materials—including digital graphics, printed pieces, website content, and social media engagement—to elevate the visibility of CHC and Campus Recreation programs. The Outreach Coordinator represents both departments at college events, promoting student resources and encouraging participation in wellness initiatives. Working collaboratively with Health Promotion and Campus Recreation staff, this role supports campaign development, assists with distributing outreach materials, and helps strengthen student engagement through effective communication strategies. Knowledge, Skills & Abilities: Graphic design experience. Knowledge of marketing and social media strategies. Presentation skills. Comfortable engaging with diverse student population. Excellent presentation and communication skills. Ability to manage several projects concurrently. Responsibilities and Duties: Transportation between college campuses to distribute promotional and marketing materials. Restock resources at different locations and represent both departments at campus events. Aid CHC staff with large-scale events such as the fall and spring semester Health Fairs. Work well in a team environment as well as independently
1–2 years of experience with Adobe Creative Suite, Canva, or equivalent design platforms, High school diploma and associate-level degree. A digital portfolio of sample advertising and/or marketing projects will be required as part of the interview process. SLCC will conduct a background check on the selected finalist. Resume required.
Bachelor's degree 2–5 years of experience in graphic design, marketing, or related fields
