Commercial HVAC Project Manager

Established mechanical contractor seeking an experienced Commercial HVAC Project Manager to support healthcare, education, industrial, and large commercial projects throughout the Houston market.

This role will manage projects from preconstruction through closeout, coordinating with field operations, subcontractors, vendors, engineers, and clients to ensure projects are completed safely, on schedule, and within budget. The company has a strong backlog of negotiated/design-build work and a long-tenured team environment.

Responsibilities

• Manage commercial HVAC/mechanical construction projects from kickoff through completion

• Develop and maintain project schedules, budgets, forecasting, and overall project execution

• Coordinate subcontractors, vendors, field personnel, and internal operations teams

• Manage RFIs, submittals, change orders, procurement, and project documentation

• Maintain working knowledge of project scope, specifications, contracts, and project requirements

• Track project financials and maintain profitability goals

• Support field operations and maintain communication with clients, GCs, and ownership teams

• Ensure projects are executed in accordance with safety standards and company expectations

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience managing commercial mechanical/HVAC construction projects

• Experience with healthcare, education, industrial, or large commercial projects preferred

• Strong understanding of HVAC/mechanical systems, scheduling, and construction processes

• Ability to manage multiple projects and priorities in a fast-paced environment

• Experience with project management software such as Procore, Bluebeam, Microsoft Project, or similar platforms preferred

• Strong communication, organizational, and leadership skills
