Fire Sprinkler Designer

A well-established and highly respected fire protection company is actively seeking an experienced Fire Sprinkler Designer to join their growing team. This is an excellent opportunity for someone looking to work with a company that values quality, teamwork, and long-term career growth within the fire protection industry.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design and develop fire sprinkler systems including layouts, hydraulic calculations, and material/equipment selection
  • Create and revise drawings using AutoCAD, Revit, or other CAD/BIM platforms
  • Ensure all designs meet NFPA standards, local codes, and project requirements
  • Coordinate with project managers, engineers, contractors, and field teams throughout the project lifecycle
  • Prepare submittals, project documentation, and technical specifications
  • Assist with project timelines, change orders, and ongoing design support

Qualifications:

  • 3+ years of experience in fire sprinkler system design
  • NIET certification is preferred but not required
  • Experience with AutoCAD, Revit MEP, or related design software
  • Strong understanding of NFPA codes and fire protection standards
  • Ability to read and interpret architectural and construction drawings
  • Strong communication and organizational skills

Education & Certifications:

  • Degree in Fire Protection, Mechanical Engineering, Construction Management, or related field preferred
  • Equivalent industry experience will also be considered
  • NIET Level II or higher is a plus
