Marketing Manager

The Marketing Manager is a strategic leader, creative problem solver, innovative thinker, and cross-functional collaborator. The ideal candidate demonstrates strong self-management and self-leadership skills, anticipating the needs of stakeholders, proactively addressing gaps, and continually evolving marketing practices in order to remain relevant, driving desired results.
While the person in this role reports to the Director of Sales & Marketing, they are responsible for nurturing close relationships with other departments, both at the property, corporate, and ownership levels to ensure marketing strategy support needs and goals of all revenue producing areas are met.
In this role, the Marketing Manager is responsible for the development and execution of the property-level marketing plan consisting of strategies and campaigns promoting on-brand messaging to customers through traditional, digital, and social media channels. The person in this role is responsible for collaborating with hotel and F&B leaders and above property team members to create thoughtful partnerships, programming and activation then integrating that content into targeted campaigns to drive consumer awareness and preference, increasing market share, and building broader asset and brand awareness. This role focuses on showcasing property and venue programming, activation and promotions to hotel guests, local patrons, and destination visitors.
Responsibilities
Administrative & General
- Creates and executes annual marketing plan to budget, in consultation with hotel, restaurants, spa and other venue leaders as well as Davidson above property marketing leaders.
- Partners with operations, F&B and sales teams to execute promotions and campaigns to target in-house guests, local customers and loyal guests.
- Works with property revenue management to verify correct offer loading, verify offer is appropriately directed at relevant consumer groups.
- Aggregates and analyzes reports from agencies and combines with internal metrics and insights to formally report out on results and adjust forward marketing plan.
- Complete required month end reports.
- Identifies and facilitates key product and content creation partnerships.
- Partners with operations for optimal email collection.
- Manages hotel and restaurant website content.
- Manages campaigns and data collection for hotel, F&B, and HR channels.
- Partners with hotel department heads on coordination of marketing of events and PR activations.
- Manages the execution of seasonal promotions by working with hotel leaders to create programming.
- Create run of show for all activations and oversee activations personally when needed.
- Travel as required.
Media Relations
- Manages media relations agency, where applicable, ensuring the agency is fully equipped with programming needed for effective pitching and media management.
- Reviews monthly report and holds agency accountable for reporting and results related to established Barcelona Principals report card KPIs.
- Works with agency to create compelling itineraries for writers and influencers and is available to greet or entertain each on site.
- Ensures prompt responses to reactive media inquiries.
Social Media
- Manage social media marketing budget.
- Manage social media agency, reviewing social media calendars before publishing and offering content where appropriate and needed.
- Prepares monthly report or repurposes agency report after digesting data, to include engagement rate, top posts, audience growth and go-forward campaigns and strategies.
Digital Marketing
- Manages digital agency and brand channels to ensure that paid marketing strategies are informed with the most up to date market information and that they produce expected returns.
- Creates content for monthly email marketing campaigns; tracks and reports effectiveness.
- Reviews monthly digital report and works with agency to adjust campaigns where needed.
- Prepares monthly report or repurposes agency report after digesting data, to include return on ad spend, top referrers, top campaigns, top adwords, most visited pages, site traffic analysis and a recap of go-forward strategy and budget allocation.
Other & Traditional Marketing
- Assess the traditional and new print campaigns and manage budget accordingly.
- Create trackable offers for print campaigns whenever possible and report on effectiveness.
- Manage print deadlines and organize collaborators to meet milestone requirements.
- Manages all collateral content and creation within footprint.
Qualifications
- This is an on-site position.
- Minimum of three years' experience in hotel level marketing, with Hilton experience preferred.
- Demonstrated competency managing outside agencies.
- Demonstrated competency in paid digital marketing.
- Demonstrated competency in copywriting.
- Basic understanding of HTML.
- Excellent time management skills.
- Strong working knowledge of Instagram, Facebook, and LinkedIn.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Competency in Adobe design programs.
- Average or better knowledge of Microsoft Excel.

Salary Range
USD $85,000.00 - USD $88,000.00 /Yr.
