Marketing Operations Analyst

The Marketing Operations Analyst assists in the implementation, maintenance, and optimization of marketing systems, processes, and campaigns to drive business objectives and enhance overall marketing efficiency. This key role within the marketing team focuses on optimizing processes, leveraging technology, and analyzing data to drive the effectiveness and efficiency of marketing campaigns and initiatives. This position combines strategic thinking with technical proficiency to support the planning, execution, and evaluation of marketing activities, and requires a detail-oriented individual with strong analytical skills, a proactive approach to problem-solving, and a keen interest in marketing technology, data analysis, and emerging AI applications.

The HealthEdge Commercial Excellence function includes Sales, Customer Success, and Marketing. These three organizations, combined as the Commercial Excellence function, are responsible for meeting the business's annual and long-term financial objectives, ensuring ongoing customer satisfaction, and increasing HealthEdge brand awareness and market visibility.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assist in administering and optimizing the marketing technology stack, including CRM, marketing automation platforms, and analytics tools
  • Monitor and maintain data quality across systems, ensuring accurate integrations between platforms
  • Support the evaluation and testing of new marketing technologies, including AI-powered tools, providing user feedback and implementation recommendations that align with the personalization at scale goal.
  • Help with user onboarding, training, and technical support for marketing tools across the team
  • Build, maintain, and enhance dashboards, reports, and assist with presentations to track marketing KPIs, campaign performance, and Marketing's impact on the business for both marketing leadership and cross-functional stakeholders
  • Analyze campaign, customer, and engagement data from multiple sources using AI-powered analytics tools to conduct A/B tests, cohort analysis, trend analysis and segmentation studies to identify optimization opportunities, and uncover predictive insights that drive personalized marketing effectiveness and data-driven decision making
  • Respond to ad-hoc analytical requests with timely, accurate insights
  • Evaluate and support the adoption of AI and automation tools including chatbots, predictive analytics, and generative AI to optimize marketing processes, enhance campaign performance, and streamline operational workflows
  • Proactively identify inefficiencies, bottlenecks, and manual processes, then design and implement improvements and best practices to enhance team productivity and reduce manual work
  • Document marketing workflows, systems, and standard operating procedures to drive change management, maintain consistency, and facilitate knowledge sharing
  • Implement and maintain data quality procedures through regular cleansing, validation, enrichment protocols, and routine audits to identify and resolve duplicates, incomplete records, and inconsistencies
  • Monitor compliance with data privacy regulations (GDPR, CCPA, etc.), manage consent frameworks and preference centers, and proactively flag potential issues with opt-in/opt-out processes
  • Establish and maintain data governance frameworks including standards, policies, naming conventions, segmentation strategies, and targeted audience lists to enable personalization at scale
  • Optimize lead scoring models, including AI-enhanced predictive scoring, and recommend adjustments based on performance analysis to enable more personalized marketing approaches
  • Monitor and report on key data health metrics (completeness, accuracy, consistency rates) and develop and deliver training on proper data management practices and system usage to support personalization capabilities

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Business Administration, Data Analytics, Information Systems, or related field
  • 2 years of internship or co-op experience in marketing operations, marketing analytics, or a related analytical role (demonstrated experience with Marketing Operations preferred)
  • Hands-on experience with marketing automation platforms (e.g., HubSpot, Marketo, Pardot) and CRM systems (e.g., Salesforce)
  • Proficiency in data analysis using Excel (pivot tables, advanced formulas, VLOOKUP/XLOOKUP) and experience with Google Analytics or similar web analytics platforms
  • Demonstrated understanding of digital marketing channels, metrics, and campaign mechanics
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with proven ability to translate data into actionable insights
  • Excellent attention to detail and commitment to data accuracy and quality
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills with ability to explain technical concepts to non-technical audiences
  • Proactive, self-motivated approach with ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities
  • Curiosity and demonstrated interest in emerging technologies, particularly AI applications in marketing

Preferred Qualifications and Skills

  • Experience with data visualization and BI tools (Tableau, Looker, Power BI, or similar)
  • Familiarity with AI-powered marketing tools (e.g., ChatGPT, Claude, predictive analytics platforms, AI content tools)
  • Experience implementing or testing automation workflows and AI integrations
  • Basic understanding of machine learning concepts and their application to marketing problems
  • Marketing automation or CRM certifications (e.g., HubSpot Marketing Software, Salesforce Administrator)
  • Previous coursework or projects in data science, statistics, or analytics

The annual US base salary range for this position is $75,000 to $85,000. This salary range may cover multiple career levels at HealthEdge. Final compensation will be determined during the interview process and is based on a combination of factors including, but not limited to, your skills, experience, qualifications and education.
