Director Of Marketing

The Director of Marketing leads the full marketing strategy, creative execution, and brand alignment for the hotel. This role oversees all digital, brand, and creative initiatives; manages agency partners; drives revenue-enhancing campaigns; and ensures each property's identity is elevated, cohesive, and aligned with both HEI and brand standards. This leader will oversee all hotel website strategy and performance, and paid advertising campaigns, in close partnership with brand teams, third-party agencies, and HEI's corporate marketing team, who will provide additional support, resources, and strategic alignment. They will also manage PR via a third-party agency, create all collateral, support selective reputation management, and partner cross-functionally with property and regional teams.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

Brand Strategy & Positioning

  • Lead brand development and ensure consistent storytelling across all three hotels.
  • Shape and refine hotel messaging, voice, and positioning for digital, print, and experiential touchpoints.
  • Oversee hotel website strategy, content updates, SEO collaboration, and performance optimization.

Digital Marketing & Advertising

  • Direct paid media campaigns (Meta, Google, display, metasearch, paid social) in partnership with brand teams, HEI's corporate marketing team, and external agencies.
  • Monitor digital performance dashboards, optimize as needed, and ensure initiatives support revenue goals.
  • Oversee email marketing, digital content development, landing pages, and campaign calendars.

Creative Development & Collateral

  • Serve as the primary creator for all digital and print collateral—including sales materials, event promotions, brand assets, menus, signage, and on-property visual communication.
  • Ensure creative quality, brand consistency, and asset management across all properties.
  • Lead creative campaign development from concept through execution.

Campaign Planning & Revenue Support

  • Build and execute marketing campaigns designed to drive group, BT, transient, F&B, and ancillary revenue.
  • Partner with Sales to develop lead-generation strategies, targeted campaigns, and promotional messaging.

PR, Social & Reputation Management

  • Manage a third-party PR agency, ensuring coverage, storytelling, and outreach align with brand priorities.
  • Oversee social content and paid social strategy; coordinate storytelling, community engagement, and content calendars.
  • Support selective reputation management in partnership with property GMs and operations (Google, TripAdvisor, OTAs, key social platforms).

Partnerships & Community Engagement

  • Develop and nurture community partnerships, board relationships, and local collaborations that elevate the hotels.
  • Manage donation requests, sponsorships, and charitable participation.

Cross-Functional & Corporate Collaboration

  • Work closely with HEI's corporate marketing team for resources, support, strategic alignment, and best practices.
  • Collaborate with brand teams, revenue leaders, sales, and operations to align all marketing messages and initiatives.
  • Lead the creation of internal presentations and communication materials for stakeholders and ownership groups.

Budgeting & Operational Excellence

  • Develop and manage the annual marketing budget, contracts, and vendor relationships.
  • Maintain brand compliance, manage asset libraries, and oversee all marketing operations.
  • Perform additional responsibilities as needed to support the success of the hotels and HEI.
  • Support the GM and Executive Team with marketing insights and demand-driving recommendations.

Qualifications and Skills

  • 4–5 years of progressive marketing experience within a major hotel brand (Marriott, Hilton, Hyatt, IHG, etc.) or a similarly complex hospitality environment.
  • Strong background managing website content, paid media campaigns, and digital marketing performance.
  • Advanced abilities in Adobe Creative Suite (InDesign, Photoshop, Illustrator) and Microsoft Office.
  • Proven experience working with agencies (PR, digital, creative) and cross-functional teams.
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to translate data into insights and strategy.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to adapt tone to different audiences.
  • Ability to leverage HEI and brand systems, processes, and tools to ensure consistency, compliance, and performance.
  • Effective verbal and written communication skills. Ability to adapt communication style to suit different audiences, such as effectively communicating with supervisors, coworkers, public etc.
