Job Description
As Product Marketing Manager for HPE Alletra Storage MP X10000, you will own how the platform is positioned, understood, and brought to market across key workloads including analytics and modern data protection.
This role is responsible for translating X10000's technical strengths into clear, differentiated narratives that resonate with both technical buyers and executive decision-makers. You will define how the product shows up in the market, ensuring it is both credible to practitioners and compelling in competitive sales cycles.
You will work in close partnership with platform and portfolio marketing teams, including Data Fabric, to ensure X10000 is consistently and effectively represented within broader analytics, data protection and hybrid cloud narratives, while maintaining clear ownership of product-level positioning and go-to-market execution.
This is a hands-on role for a product marketer who can connect product truth to market impact, bringing clarity, focus, and momentum to a strategically critical platform. It sits at the center of a shift in how enterprises think about storage, from passive infrastructure to an active performance layer for analytics, and recovery.
Key Responsibilities
- Own positioning and messaging for HPE Alletra Storage MP X10000 across core workloads including analytics and modern data protection
- Translate platform capabilities into clear customer outcomes, differentiated value, and competitive advantage
- Maintain and evolve messaging frameworks that reflect real-world use cases and buyer priorities
- Lead product launches, updates, and GTM readiness for X10000, ensuring clear, consistent messaging across all channels
- Partner with demand, digital, and content teams to activate campaigns and assets that drive awareness and pipeline
- Ensure sales motions are grounded in strong product narratives and aligned to buyer journeys
- Equip global sales and channel teams with clear, confident messaging, talk tracks, and tools that improve win rates
- Support deal cycles with targeted positioning, competitive differentiation, and customer-facing materials
- Act as a bridge between product, marketing, and field teams to ensure alignment and clarity
- Partner with Data Fabric, AI, and hybrid cloud PMMs to integrate X10000 into broader narratives without losing product clarity
- Work closely with the data protection product marketing team to align positioning, use cases, and joint sales motions, ensuring a cohesive story across primary storage, protection, and recovery
- Support analyst relations and press engagement with product-level insights and positioning
- Act as a subject-matter expert on X10000, representing the product internally and externally
Education & Experience
- Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Engineering, Computer Science, or related field; MBA preferred
- 6–8+ years in product marketing across enterprise infrastructure, storage, data platforms, or cloud
- Proven track record building differentiated narratives and high-impact content
- Experience positioning complex solutions in competitive, fast-evolving markets
Knowledge & Skills
- Strong understanding of object storage, analytics workloads, and modern data protection architectures
- Ability to translate deep technical capabilities into clear, differentiated market positioning
- Strong storytelling and communication skills, including executive presentations
- Ability to drive clarity and alignment across cross-functional teams
- Analytical mindset with comfort using data to inform positioning and GTM decisions
