Director Of Pre-Arrival Marketing

Are you a strategic powerhouse with a passion for driving performance and leading high-impact teams? We're looking for a Director of Pre-Arrival Marketing to take our guest engagement and lead management to the next level!

As a Director of Pre-Arrival Marketing, you will be responsible for providing recommendations and taking actions based on strategic objectives to support operations of Pre-Arrival marketing team.

These functions include driving the process to effectively manage leads, scheduling agents, recruiting, training and retention. Must be proficient in building proformas, coding, reporting and incentives to drive budgeted tours through the pre arrivals channel for members and guests.

You will focus on the expansion of the company's capacity to identify and reach potential customers for its resort ownership product through the effective management of a wide range of promotions and program, physical marketing locations, and marketing representatives.

This will also include collaboration with the Directors of Marketing for both the Domestic and Japan markets. The Director will be held accountable for achieving key revenue and expense-related metrics on a monthly or quarterly basis and compensated accordingly.

Additionally, the position works closely with Sales and Business management leaders to achieve mutual goals in a cooperative and collaborative manner.

ADDITIONAL RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE:

  • Establishes and monitors on-site and off-site marketing systems, generating prospects from the local tourists, hotel guests, owners of HGV mini-vacation and VIP packages, owner referrals, and special events to HGV's Sales Galleries.
  • Oversees management teams for all on-property and off-property marketing.
  • Develops, implements, and manages marketing programs that generate tours and provides management expertise to enhance key success measurements.
  • Works closely with the regional marketing staff to develop statewide and region-wide marketing programs, promotions and tracking methodologies.
  • Works with business operations to analyze ongoing results by source and business unit and seek ways to increase performance or efficiency.
  • Works closely with the marketing training team to develop and deliver training programs for the marketing team members.
  • Analyzes reports to determine performance of programs and incentives, identifying trends and implementing changes for improvement.
  • Monitors programs to enhance tour show percentages, minimize tour changes, and service recoveries due to non-qualification.
  • Recruits, trains, develops and motivates Marketing Managers, Team Leaders, and Marketing Executives, monitoring individual performance and finding opportunities for improvement.
  • Delivers coaching, counseling, recognition and progressive discipline, in accordance with Human Resources guidelines.
  • Designs and implements incentives and reward programs that motivate staff to exceed goals in the areas of VPG, sales volume, and tour flow.
  • Assists in the development of annual marketing plan and budget.
  • Carries out reasonable requests by management that the employee is capable of performing.

To fulfill this role successfully, you must possess the following minimum qualifications and experience:

  • BA/BS/Bachelor's Degree
  • Able to work flexible schedules including mornings, evenings, weekends and holidays
  • 3+ years of Vacation Ownership experience
  • 5+ years of management experience
  • Computer proficiency (Salesforce, Clarity)
  • Proven ability to exceed performance targets and deliver customer satisfaction
  • Excellent leadership skills and to motivate and train teams

It would be helpful in this position for you to demonstrate the following capabilities and distinctions:

  • Excellent communication skills with the ability read, write and speak fluent English and Japanese
