Senior Business Intelligence Developer

We are seeking a Senior Business Intelligence Developer to support reporting and analytics across the full customer lifecycle. This role partners with Sales, Revenue Operations, Account Management, and Customer Service leaders to deliver Tableau-based analytics solutions that provide visibility into revenue performance, operational efficiency, account growth, and overall commercial execution.

The ideal candidate combines strong technical execution with the ability to clarify business requirements, define KPI logic, and communicate effectively with stakeholders. This role operates independently within defined project scope and escalates major cross-functional or resource conflicts to the appropriate Business Intelligence Domain Owner.

Responsibilities

• Partner with Product Managers, Product Owners, Engineering, and operational stakeholders to clarify reporting requirements and define product-related KPI logic.
• Facilitate requirements discussions and document approved metric definitions in Confluence.
• Develop and maintain Tableau Cloud dashboards using curated warehouse views and system data.
• Translate product and workflow questions into structured reporting outputs using SQL and existing semantic models.
• Validate dashboard outputs against source systems and ensure alignment with agreed business definitions.
• Provide proactive status updates, communicate risks early, and raise blockers in a timely manner.
• Collaborate with Data Engineering to enhance or extend reporting views when new data requirements arise.
• Analyze workflow states, system timestamps, and operational transitions to ensure accurate representation of product behavior.
• Present completed dashboards and findings to product leadership and explain metric calculations and assumptions.
• Manage 2–3 concurrent reporting initiatives with clear communication and disciplined execution.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Data Analytics, or a related field.
• 5+ years of hands-on experience building production dashboards in Tableau Cloud (Tableau Desktop experience strongly preferred).
• Strong SQL proficiency with the ability to read, interpret, and validate complex queries.
• Must understand fundamental data modeling concepts (fact vs dimension, reporting grain).
• Demonstrated ability to troubleshoot data discrepancies across BI tools, warehouse views, and source systems.
• Experience analyzing application, system, or operational workflow data.
• Experience collaborating with data engineering teams to support reporting needs.
• Experience leading requirements clarification sessions with business stakeholders.
• Experience working in structured delivery environments using tools such as Jira and Confluence (or equivalent).
• Ability to independently document metric definitions and validate outputs.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience supporting Product Managers or Product Owners in delivering analytics solutions.
• Ability to independently write SQL queries for reporting and data validation is strongly preferred.
• Experience with revenue attribution, commission-related reporting, or account expansion analytics.
• Familiarity with Databricks or lakehouse-based data platforms.
• Experience presenting analytics outputs to leadership audiences.
