Interior Designer / Art Direction

Position Purpose: The Interior Designer / Art Direction is charged with making the most attractive, targeted photography and videography possible– mindful of the customer, accuracy, deadlines, and budget constraints. This role works to understand the customer's objectives, design or plan photography or location sets, submit technical drawings, oversee the fabrication of the set, as well as styling the set, and collaborating with the photography/video team on the aesthetics of the final deliverable. Interior Designers need to be creative, organized, and passionate about design, while also being collaborative and having a basic understanding of studio photography, videography, lighting, and composition.
Key Responsibilities:
- 30% - Collaboration - Collaborate with internal and external business partners to ensure all stakeholders are aligned with company goals and brand standards.
- 70% - Strategy & Execution - Guides the company's creative strategy by managing the development and production of creative content. Uses discretion, independent judgment, and creativity to make key decisions to successfully deliver assets for multiple cross-channel projects. Responsible for utilizing acquired experience and creative expertise, to elevate the brand, overcome challenges, and ensure delivered assets meet the marketing objective scope of work.

Travel Requirements:
- Typically requires overnight travel less than 10% of the time.
Physical Requirements:
- Must continuously stand or walk or regularly requires lifting/handling/carrying material or equipment of moderate weight (8-20 pounds).
Working Conditions:
- Typically located in a comfortable indoor area. There may be regular exposure to mild physical discomfort from factors such as dust, fumes or odors, temperature extremes, loud noise, strong drafts, or bright lights.
Minimum Qualifications:
- Must be 18 years of age or older
- Must be legally permitted to work in the United States
Preferred Qualifications:
- 1 year of Interior Design experience, preferably at a commercial photography studio or residential design firm
- Working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite
- SketchUp software experience
- A professional portfolio that demonstrates a strong understanding and creative execution of the Principles and Elements of Interior Design
- Ability and desire to work in a fast-paced, agile environment
- Strong attention to detail
Minimum Education:
- The knowledge, skills and abilities typically acquired through the completion of a high school diploma and/or GED.
Preferred Education:
- The knowledge, skills and abilities typically acquired through the completion of an associate's degree program or equivalent degree in a field of study related to the job.
