Job Description
The Bank is seeking a qualified individual to join its team of IT Application Managers. The IT Application Manager serves as the primary point of contact for a set(s) of related applications and has overall responsibility for those applications. This is a hands-on position that requires a combination of business application knowledge, strong analytic skills, technical acumen, project management experience, and excellent communication skills.
This specific role will focus primarily on Application Management & support of the bank's financial applications including Oracle Fusion Cloud Financials/Oracle ERP (General Ledger, Accounts Payables, Fixed Assets), Oracle EPM, Oracle OFSAA on perm and Analytics and reporting covers several platforms including Qlik Sense, Congos, and Crystal Reports. Support of other applications could be included depending on the applicant's experience.
Primary Responsibilities:
- Develop and maintain a deep knowledge of the in-scope applications, including what business functions are provided by each, the technical architecture, and all application interfaces.
- Application management - overall responsibility for the in-scope production applications
- Manage vendor relationships
- Awareness of vendor product strategy, coming features, risks, issues
- 1st level review and approval of invoices
- Work with business and plan for yearly operational budget
- Participate in Application Incidence & Change Management process
- Project management of application upgrades and patches. Coordinate with the business units, Information Technology, and various operations teams as necessary. Adhere to the bank's SDLC and employ best practices to ensure that projects are delivered on time, within budget and to the expectations of project sponsors and stakeholders.
- Business analysis for application upgrades and patches. Document business requirements, use cases, test plans, deployment plans, and user documentation.
- Process automation. Develop a strong understanding of in-house process automation tools and identify opportunities to gain efficiencies through automation in IT and in the business units.
- Provide guidance to the technical staff for development activities and routine maintenance.
- Provide subject matter expertise to strategic projects.
- Assist strategic project teams with creation of use cases and integration testing (pre-UAT).
- Participate in technical design sessions.
- Proactively monitor for system issues and adherence to configurations standards. Lead issue resolution including reconciliation activities and data analysis and provide guidance to technical staff and business personnel.
- Monitor the bank's end-of-day processes and assist with problem resolution as needed; escalate when appropriate.
Qualifications
- 10+ years IT experience in the banking/finance industry highly preferred.
- A strong technical knowledge of cloud-based Oracle Fusion Financials/Oracle ERP including the modules GL, AP, FA, Procurement and iExpenses.
- Experience with implementation of Oracle PPM and Contract management modules.
- A strong knowledge of Oracle PPM including PBCS (Planning, Workforce planning, CAPX and Project Financial planning), Narrative reporting and PMCS. Exposure to out of the box solution will be added advantage.
- Understanding of OFSAA on perm application stack, exposure to upgrade to newer version is highly desirable.
- Solid understanding of business intelligence best practices. Familiarity with QlikSense, Cognos a strong plus.
- Solid understanding of functional knowledge in General Ledger(Chart of Accounts) & Financial Planning concepts
- Project management and strong business analysis skills. PMP and/or BA certification a plus.
- Outstanding organizational and leadership skills with an ability to drive issues to consensus while promoting a positive collaborative environment.
- Ability to build strong relationships and influence stakeholders at all levels.
- Ability to independently manage external and internal audit process.
- Versed in development methodologies such as waterfall and agile.
- Heavy experience with applications support, systems integration, data conversions, file transfers, and applications installation, configuration, upgrades, and decommissioning.
- Strong technical skills Oracle, SQL, MS Windows, Linux, and working knowledge of Microsoft Office (esp. Excel and Project). Excellent analytical skills.
- Experience managing vendor relationships.
- Ability to work effectively under pressure and to tight deadlines.
- Willingness to take ownership and accountability.
Compensation: The expected annual salary for this position is between $130,000 - $180,000 at the start of employment. A salary offer is determined on an individualized basis, taking into consideration factors such as an individual's skills and experience.
