The Acquisitions Marketing Lead is a key role within the Customer Marketing and Subscriptions team, focused on driving profitable acquisitions within our Food group of brands, however may also be required to work across other brands. We are at an exciting new chapter as we position our brands as multi-format – our customers can select how they choose to consume our content, and our marketing now also needs to mirror our best-in-class subscriber experience. The ideal candidate in this role will come from a media brand where they have worked across bundled print and digital subscriber products This position requires a commercially minded individual who can work effectively across the Customer Marketing and editorial teams to bring together both print and app acquisition driving marketing campaigns. This is a fast-paced results-oriented role at the heart of our subscriptions trading culture. You will be excited to work across our brands and relish the challenge of working across a matrix organisation to help deliver subscriptions growth.

In this role you will;

  • Develop and implement customer acquisition campaigns, working cross-functionally to achieve daily, weekly, and monthly trading and marketing KPIs
  • Lead on creating subscriber segmentation and targeted value propositions to personalise marketing and drive acquisition
  • Scope new marketing formats to test based on expertise and full-funnel knowledge; share learnings across Acquisition, CRM, CRO, and Social teams
  • Manage budgets diligently with a CAC/LTV focus, making daily optimisations to improve ROI and deliver brand and commercial growth across all channels
  • Partner closely with CRO and CRM teams to drive profitable acquisition
  • Maintain the promotional calendar in Monday.com on a monthly and quarterly basis, planning at least six months ahead with flexibility to respond to market demand
  • Test and optimise creative design and messaging in collaboration with creative, performance marketing (search & social), and cross-functional teams to execute testing plans and develop breakthrough ideas
  • Analyse campaign effectiveness across multiple channels and geos, optimising performance to meet KPIs
  • Support launch and expansion into new markets and channels using competitive and market intelligence
  • Produce reports and presentations including daily pacing, tracking against plan, and insightful commentary with recommendations using tools such as Google Analytics and Tableau
  • Manage invoices and administrative tasks within the acquisitions workflow, ensuring accurate financial processing
  • Collaborate with Product and Tech stakeholders on acquisition customer journeys
  • Support day-to-day team management and workload prioritisation
  • Proactively contribute to team meetings, initiatives, and knowledge-sharing
