The Director Marketing of ASEAN+Hong Kong will be responsible for leading our Corporate Marketing, Agency Ingram Micro, and Platform Marketing strategy for ASEAN+Hong Kong, supporting the growth of Ingram Micro as the IT Industry's most desired business partner. Our goal is to drive outcome marketing and you are expected to scale high-performing marketing programs, introduce consultative selling skills, develop marketing plans using data analytics and influence sales growth and converting sales through strategic marketing in the platform.
To do this, we modernize our marketing capabilities and automate our marketing practices, strengthen Ingram Micro's brand and develop the talent inside Marketing, Agency Ingram Micro business.
This role will sit on our ASEAN+Hong Kong and Marketing, Senior Leadership Team (SLT), reporting directly to the Executive Director, Global Marketing (APAC) and responsible to the Chief Country Executives (CCEs) in ASEAN+Hong Kong. Responsible for Six Countries Marketing P&L, in-country business growth and growing our Marketing Operating Income (OI). You will also foster strong relationships with regional and local Vendor Representatives who rely on Ingram Micro to generate profitable growth. You are expected to manage the six countries stakeholders, vendors and drive success in each of the independent market.
Your Role:
- Lead the six countries (ASEAN+Hong Kong cluster) marketing team for setting vision, strategy, and direction to be aligned with business objective and go-to-market strategy.
- Lead a diverse team of marketers, span across six countries, with different maturity, business requirements, diverse culture, business stakeholders and more.
- Manage six profitable marketing P&L, with continuous growth of vendors/partners marketing programs and increase of YOY net marketing incomes.
- Engage and build relationships with six countries vendors and align marketing plan to the specific market.
- Drive shared services in this cluster for opportunities and optimization.
- Sit in each of the six countries senior leadership team, as the marketing lead in understanding the business and prescribing the marketing solution.
What You Bring to the Role:
- Bachelor's Degree in marketing or related field, or equivalent combination of education and experience required.
- 15+ years' experience in distribution, technology, product, or services industries with 10+ years in a senior leadership capacity and leading through subordinate managers.
- Extensive, relevant, and proven IT Channel, distribution, and vendor experience.
- Extensive, relevant, and proven Channel Marketing and Corporate Marketing experience, with deep knowledge about Digital Marketing, Demand Generation, and experience with eCommerce.
- Proven commercial marketing experience specifically in strategy, digital marketing, marketing intelligence, content development and packaging.
- Highly collaborative & consultative leader with industry expertise in B2B or B2C sales for consumer technology, hardware, software, networking, digital, mobility and systems management.
- Motivational leader, able to encourage, inspire and build team spirit among associates, bringing about mutual respect and cooperation.
- Financial and analytical mindset to drive profitable Marketing P&L and use Big Data and Business Intelligence to drive opportunities and operation excellence.
- A strategic, yet engaging and hands-on individual, highly capable of operating and excelling at the strategic and tactical positions.
- Excellence in Marketing Operations capabilities to drive Marketing Operation Excellence and Governance.
- Strong in project management experience, analytical/critical thinking skills, resourceful, problem-solver, who is comfortable with new technologies and concepts.
- Change-oriented, proactive in thinking about the business, drive marketing evolution and bringing new solutions to the table.
- Strong interest in working in a large and fast-paced international organization.
- Great understanding about delivering results with marketing that benefit the business, and can expertly communicate how those results impact a P&L.
- Skilled in developing Marketing plans, directly contributing to our strategic business plans, and tracking Key Performance Indicators (KPI) and Return on Investments (ROI).
