Purpose

Work autonomously at an advanced level on drawing and modeling tasks, completing a wide variety of tasks by applying drawing and modeling techniques and practices. Must have substantial knowledge of industry-relevant standard best practices for the development and control of drawing and modeling deliverables. May provide supervision in relation to drawing and modeling activities for a large project, or one or more smaller projects.

Responsibilities

• Perform drawing and modeling deliverables in Instrumentation and Control. Difficult, complex, or unusual decisions are generally referred to more experienced discipline members such as engineers, who bear the full responsibility for the design.

• Work autonomously allowing the planning and organization of tasks on assigned projects.

• Receive project-related assignments with specific objectives and priorities. May be supervisor of activities or also have supervision for determination of accuracy, integrity, and compliance with objectives. May receive supervised/self-taught training in more advanced disciplinary work practices/applications.

• Maintain constant and effective communication with the work team, to inform and persuade on complex issues and problems through the preparation and delivery of presentations and reports, as well as collaboration with stakeholders and discipline management.

• Be proficient in the use of tools such as Microsoft 365 and Office (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Teams). Can navigate intranet pages, perform searches, and retrieve information. Can organize information from multiple sources and retain it according to established format and policies.

• Work competently and efficiently in specialized design tools, analysis and modeling, and interdisciplinary data-centric methods.

What You Will Bring

• Be a Technical, Technologist, or Professional in Architectural Design and Modeling or related fields.

• Minimum 5 years of experience as a Draftsman, Designer, and/or Instrumentation Project Designer. Must have a competent understanding of some industry codes, standards, and best practices.

• Have an A2 or B1 level of English.
